Signet Apartments - Ceres

Wow, what an amazing apartment. Darren and Anton were extremely helpful pre booking and always available to answer questions- this was immediately reassuring. On day of arrival we were met by a lovely lady who showed us around the apartment and made sure we were settled. The apartment is stunning! Spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated with all the amenities you could want. We couldn't believe our luck! The surrounding area is lovely- restaurants train station and shops all within very easy walking distance but the complex itself is quiet and felt very safe. We will definitely return to this fantastic apartment. Many thanks to Darren and Anton for hosting us.

Our stay was quite comfortable and the apartment is located near the train station. It's very convenient to buy groceries, travel or get food.

I have stayed in both a one bedroom and a 2 bedroom apartment with Signet near the railway station in Cambridge. I can say without a doubt the apartments and customer service has been beyond exemplary. The apartments were beautiful, clean, and had everything I needed to cook with, complimentary toiletries and close to walking distance to Addenbrookes and the city centre and all modes of transport. There were groceries within a few minutes walking distance. I needed urgent accommodation and the service and help I received from Darren and Anton was so lovely, professional and made me feel so welcome. I could not have asked for more lovely accommodation and hospitality.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Signet Apartments - Ceres earlier this year! Working with Signet Apartments is always convenient and I love being able to stay in a clean and fully furnished apartment in Cambridge. This apartment has everything you might need, including a washer/dryer, comfy bed, coffee and tea, and it's very conveniently located near the train, restaurants, shops and the city center. After reflecting on 2020, I nostalgically and fondly thought about my stay at Ceres at the beginning of the year, and hopefully travelling to Cambridge will be an option again in the near future. Needless to say, I'm very much looking forward to my next stay at Ceres! It was incredibly quiet, comfortable and homey. Thank you!

We stayed here for a leisure break in Cambridge. We were given clear instructions and a welcome introduction. A very comfortable apartment and everything that we needed. The simple bus ride into the city was perfect for our visit. We visited the Fitzwilliam art gallery, anthropology museum both providing excellent interest. We also attended a pre booked wine tasting day in one of the colleges (the simple bus ride came very useful). Cambridge has so much to offer. Our apartment provided a very comfortable place to rest and recharge and was much appreciated. Everything was perfect. Thank you.

I enjoyed my stay at Signet. I stayed in a 2 bed apartment

All the rooms are spacious and appliances are new. Apartment is close to station which also helped. Having a room to store my bicycle was useful.

I did not hear any noises from neighbors and my stay went smooth.

If given an opportunity I will stay here again.

My girlfriend and I enjoyed a wonderful stay in Signet Apartments' Ceres accommodation. A one bedroom, penthouse apartment, with a high quality finish. The apartment is located a stones throw from the train station and a 10 minute walk away from Cambridge's beautiful city centre, making it ideal for both buisness or holiday use. The Signet Team were faultless throughout my stay - gracious and prompt in their assistance. They left no stone unturned to ensure my girlfriend and I had a great experience. When I return to Cambridge I will be sure to stay with Signet Apartments. To that end, I would reccomend Signet Apartments to any and all.

My friend and I had a lovely weekend stay whilst visiting Cambridge
end October. The apartment was a very good size in an excellent
location a moment away from the main station and short walk in to
town. I hope to stay again soon.

Lovely modern apartment, well maintained with all amenities. Very private and secure even though it's less than 5 min walk from cambridge train station. Ideal for people travelling by train. Surprisingly quiet for it's central location, highly recommend if you are coming for business and want to get some work done.

I have stayed in several Signet Apartments and the high standards of cleanliness and equipment are always consistent

Be warned: Horrid and unresponsive customer service.

I am a frequent traveller and have been to quite a few different places in both developing and developed countries, and I have never encountered such sub-par service in the hospitality industry.

We planned on going to Cambridge to attend a wedding that was taking place at 3pm till after midnight; given this timing, we knew we would not fit into Ceres Apartment’s official check-in time of 3pm – 10pm, but they had the option of both early and late check-ins. Therefore I gave them a call before we were due in Cambridge to request for an early check-in, only to be told that such arrangements could only be done on the day of check-in itself. On that day, the phone rang for a good 5 times before anyone picked up, and this time I was told that I had to call back 30 mins before we arrived at their hotel.

After calling over and over again prior to arrival, they finally answered the phone, and told me that their policy on check-in/ check-out times were strict, there was no way I could get an early check-in. Furthermore they said that an early check-in was impossible due to the guest currently in the room having a late check-out. This struck us as inconsistent, how could they be strict if they allowed the other guest to check out late?

Not being given the option of early check-in, we did our best to resolve said situation and asked Ceres to meet us on one of these two options:

1) Permit us to do a late check-in
2) Give us the keys early, and we would NOT enter the room till after the proper check-in time

Ceres absolutely refused to help us out in anyway. In reply to option 1, they initially said they could do that for an extra £20 fee, but after we accepted, they said they were not doing late check in as they didn’t want to staff the place after 10pm. For option 2, they said it was impossible due to the manager having to check the room before letting guest in.

Therefore given no leeway and no help from Ceres at all, we were forced to cancel our booking. The audacity of Ceres revealed itself here, in reply they said, “You cannot cancel your booking”, and they went ahead and charged us the full cost of the stay despite making it impossible for us to stay at the place at all. To this date the hotel has refused to entertain any requests of a refund.

We ended up staying in Westminster College, where they were highly accommodating of us coming in late despite not being a hotel and being a student dorm.

The whole experience with Ceres’ unresponsive and rude customer service has been nothing short of antagonizing, and having to deal with the situation above easily ruined our experience at the wedding of a close friend.
