Very smart restaurant for a supermaket! The menu was spot on with lots of local fresh produce and regional recipes. I had the 'Marsh Melt' lamb burger, local Rother & Weald lamb, with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Delicious. Bring an appetite!

Lovely breakfast @jempsonssuperstore today. Staff were very friendly and calmly coped with 15 mouths to feed! The store is beautifully presented and the local produce is amazing and keenly priced for the quality. The chocolate counter was to die for!

Went to the cafe for breakfast. It is by far the best place my husband and I have been to for breakfast and we have been lucky enough to eat out at lots of different cafes and bars all over the world. The best eggs we have ever tasted and done just the way we asked. Could not rate it any better.

Great superstore that is well presented.
It is clean and nicely laid out and that is ideal for a quick shopping experience.
There is an abundance of fresh produce as well as frozen and everything seems to be high quality.
There is much more on offer than food produce, there are plants and some gardening accessories to have a look at.
You can also buy shower and bath products, pet food and so much more.
They have a great restaurant too, food was very nice and tasty, nicely presented and portion sizes are very generous.
There is a petrol station as well and they have the cheapest fuel prices around at our last visit.
Highly recommended.

Jempsons is easily my favourite supermarket.

We stop off at the Peasmarsh branch on our way into Rye and top up with extras as needed in their store in the centre of Rye town. We only visit the area once or twice a year and all I can say is we wish we had a Jempsons near us.

It feels like the perfect cross between a Wholefoods and an expansive French supermarket. Loads of local produce, awesome bread, friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. It all feels very considered and well stocked.

The CEO of Sainbury's should take a long look at the Jempsons model or maybe get the Jempsons management team onboard to help out because Sainsbury's need to up their game!

This is a traditional store with great values. It has integrity and treats its customers well. You will struggle to find one of the 'big' supermarkets with the same truly decent values and helpful staff.

I cannot recommend this store highly enough!

Jempson's is a family favourite and our go to for local grocery necessities (when we are able to spend a little more to support local businesses).

I'm a big fan of the fill-your-own options here. This grocer is perfect for those looking for a central hub to buy local produce in East Sussex/west Kent, but it can be a little pricey on some larger brands - understandable!

The butcher counter and bakery are fantastically stocked and have well-priced items. The handmade frozen bake-at-home pieces near the front are fantastic in a pinch, as are their prepped meals. I love their local produce and dairy, and their garlic strands are my favourite! Highly recommend.

Visited 3wks ago. An absolute gem of a place. A calm and easy shopping experience. We also had a coffee and the young lady in the cafe (Becky I think ?) was friendly helpful and knowledgeable. The menu looked extensive and inviting. Will most definitely be returning. Thank you.

We always enjoy a trip to Jempsons at Peasmarsh. Car park is of a good size and you can normally find a space quite easily. I just love their bread and cakes many of which are made on site. Fabulously fresh and tasty. There is a great range of produce in general and often some items that you won't see in the mainstream supermarkets. The shelves are always well stocked and there are normally lots of tills open so you don't have to queue up for long. I have always found the staff helpful and friendly.

Jempsons have recently teamed up with Morrisons replacing the Co-operative as a supplier. While I love Jempsons, I was never that keen on the Co-op products which were generally low quality but pricey. But now with Morrisons, the opposite is true with a range of competitively priced and good quality products.

First visit to store today as we have recently moved to the area and all I can say is WOW. We will 100% be coming back.
The bakery items are delicious whoever makes them should win an award ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Also the range of meat produce is excellent, top quality.
A real family feel as soon as you walk through the doors 👍

People say things aren't like they used to be, and that is usually because they are better. This place is different. It is like things used to be but in all the right ways. The staff were polite and the help I received at the meat counter was exceptional especially from someone so young.
They have loose produce that you can buy in paper bags or in your own receptacles which is fantastic for the environment and the consumer, if only they would realise.
I finished up with a quick coffee in the Cafe here which was better than the chain stores and although I didn't eat, the food looked fantastic.
I'll be back, someone famous said that I think.

A Family Firm with dedicated staff and customers. It is an interesting store with locally produced fruit and veg, also a similar cheese counter. They also stock a wide range of beers, cider and wines. In fact, this store is so self sufficient it closes every Sunday so as the staff have family time. Also wonderful Boot Fairs outside in the car park during the summer, highly interesting.

We discovered this gem of a place on our way back from a weekend in Camber Sands. We stopped for a hearty breakfast and nothing was too much trouble for the staff to prepare (having a teenager who doesn't each egg yolks). The food was tasty and great value. We then wandered into the superstore and were delighted by the range of local products that we hadn't seen in other stores. Such was our rush, my wife forgot her handbag and this was left in the restaurant whilst we browsed the store. When we later discovered the bag had been left, we telephoned customer service who had been given the bag by Jo in the restaurant. Dooby in customer service was very professional when the bag was later collected with nothing missing. A huge thank you to Jo and Dooby for their honesty and assistance, which is over and above what you would expect usually, but probably not from a company like Jempson's. They are a credit to your business and we would like to express our thanks to Jo and Dooby and the rest of the team at Peasmarsh.

Something very good has happened to this place. I came for breakfast with my two young children last week. It was spotlessly clean. I had a full English breakfast which was superb - and superb value at £7.50. It would have been a credit to The Ritz, so it would appear that the chef knows what she is doing (I spied her through the hatch, smiling). The coffee was hot, the staff were kind. The lavatories were clean and the hand dryers blew warm air at a volume that did not burst my eardrums. Frankly, what more could you want? So I came back for lunch today: perfectly cooked North Atlantic cod and perfectly cooked salmon with potatoes and spinach in a delightful creamy lemon sauce. I want it again - really I do. This place is like finding a pearl where you least expect it. People should be beating down the doors: restaurant quality food at café prices. So there's only one problem: with food this good, you want a glass or two of wine. But they don't have a license. Any chance of changing that, Mr Jempson? After all, "We're different". Either way, the value is exceptional. I really, really hope it lasts.
