Little gem for lunch

We wanted a good sandwich/lunch places not too expensive or fussy and Haydens was perfect. Lovely airy seating out the back as well as what you can see through the front window.

Food was generous portions, one of the best fish finger sandwiches we've had in years.

For 2 for lunch inc drinks was £29.

Didn't come up on your search before we visited as a place to eat but would highly recommend.

We truly treasured our recent trip to Hayden’s. Every staff member was friendly and gracious, going out of their way to accommodate us and tailor everything to our needs, anticipating ways to make our stay more comfortable. The rooms were spotless and included nice elegant touches like local soaps. A highlight for us was the delicious breakfast in the dining room, sitting inside the open doors and balcony looking over beautiful views with the fresh air and peaceful sounds of songbirds. We would recommend Hayden’s to anyone planning to visit Rye!!

We stumbled upon this lovely place whilst staying in Rye. A hidden gem with lovely views from the back of the dining room. The service was excellent, the staff so friendly and helpful, and the food could not have been better. I have seen a few negative reviews, but when we were there, everyone seemed to be loving it, and the place was really busy. It is great to find a place with a varied and interesting menu, a cut above the mundane choices often found in similar places. And as for the prices, yes, maybe slightly higher than average, but for the quality of the food, we thought it was perfectly reasonable and good value. Would totally recommend Haydens without hesitation.

We stayed here last night and what a joy it was. The very friendly staff checked us in and showed us our lovely comfortable room. The mini fridge had fresh milk and chocolate and the room has tea making facilities and a coffee machine, oh, and lovely biscuits. The location is fantastic and we went out for drinks and dinner. Breakfast was gorgeous. We didn’t have big breakfasts but my wife and I are agreed it was the best we’ve had in ages. The breakfast menu is extensive and imaginative. We can’t wait to go back

Went for coffee and cake and sat outside. Was very nice and the brownie was excellent, very light. Happily go again.

We stayed for two nights and had a great time. Loved the breakfasts and the staff were fantastic. We left some things in our room and they were incredibly helpful in sending them back to us. Would absolutely recommend.

Lunch only: Spot on in every way, the soup, the cheesey scone that came with it. The fish finger sandwich with crispy potatoes, superb coleslaw, yes it's the little details that made it a great lunch.

We've been to the café/restaurant and didn't stay in the hotel. The café is great and worth the visit. The food was good and the service wonderful.

Stopped in to grab a bite to eat at the Hayden cafe and didn't stay at the accommodation. Food wise at the cafe was excellent, the staff were really friendly and welcoming. Great location located at RYE.

My sister and I booked a table yesterday, and it was the beautiful balcony seat. So lovely! I had a very delicious cheese and pesto tarte and my sister had a yummy Welsh Rarebit. Gorgeous home- made coleslaw! The staff were so lovely and helpful. I highly recommend Haydens! 🙂

This is one of many little gems in the East Sussex town of Rye . A really lovely place to have an afternoon cream tea or a very yummy Breakfast as we did, I had the Eggs Benedict which I can say is superb. There is an extension out the back which overlooks part of Rye across the marshes and is the place to sit if you can . Booking a seat may be the best option as it’s very popular. There are rooms available to stay there although I have not seen them but I can imagine it’s a great place to stay as Rye is itself a Wonder of the East Sussex region 😎 hope you enjoy the pics x

Can't comment on rooms as didn't stop over. Brunch was lovely, 5 of us ate, and the service was good, portion sizes also good but not too much. Hot and tasty. Would definately recommend.

Stayed last night, our third time of staying here. We cannot fault this wonderful B&B. The rooms are lovely, the staff are absolutely amazing, so friendly and they make you feel so welcome. It is our escape from reality albeit very brief. We highly recommend this amazing B&B and beautiful surroundings. Looking forward to another stay in the not too distant future, thank you Kate, Richard and all the hard working staff, you do an amazing job.
See you soon, Neal and Amanda.

We had a wonderful stay in your kingfisher room, very quiet, great facilities, love the wideye products and all the little extras. Our only reason for 4☆ is because we would have liked to be able to open the window as it was quite warm even with the fan.
Enjoyed a super breakfast!
We would definitely recommend Haydens and hope to return soon.

Fantastic staff, beautiful room with extra touches, comfy bed, perfect location and amazing breakfast choices. Our only regret is we didn't stay long enough to sample their extensive menu. Thank you so much we will be back ❤

A very lovely place during our honeymoon trip. The room (we stayed in the chocolate room) was amazing - very big and lovely furnished. Very clean and comfortable. Plus, they offered us welcome cake and tea, which was also very good. The breakfast as well, was various and very enjoyable. The staff was very polite and friendly. We can definitely recommend this b&b.
