Visited yesterday after seeing a PRS online. Gary was brilliant and had reserved the guitar from the Monday I called until the Saturday. A friend and I spent 2.5 hours in store, played around 10 guitars and although I didn't leave with the PRS I did leave with another lovely guitar. They were very accommodating, relaxed environment and a brilliant selclection of used and new guitars. What I like most is, although they stock a large selection of Fender, Gibson and PRS, they also stock less mainstream guitars like British made Atkin (electric and acoustic), Patrick James Eggle and their own Cream T guitars. Would highly recommend these guys, one of the best shops in the North.

Fantastic experience. I ordered a guitar online, but not after asking several questions; Paul at Sound Affects was very informative, helpful and accommodating. I wanted the guitar restrung with specific strings, and they also provided a set up. I am very picky about the set up on my guitars, any the tech did a brilliant job. My only criticism was there could have been more packaging, as there was a couple of impacts to the box, but again, the staff were very helpful. Definitely recommended - thanks!

Super-helpful staff. Very knowledgeable and accommodating, gave me all the time I needed to play the guitars I was interested in. The owner, Tim, went out of his way to ensure that questions were answered and the right information established upon which to make purchasing decisions. The shop itself is great, very good stock collection, and some rooms set up to play in. Absolutely cannot fault it - an absolute gem of a place. Keep it up, guys!

I often visit the store it has an phenomenal collection of guitars to suit all styles genres and prices, not to mention pedals and all the other accessories, the staff are excellent and very relaxed. I finally nailed a guitar today that I had my eye on 100% satisfied, great setup, great service, starting to save for my next one as I will be back, thank you Sound Affects.

Thank you, got one very happy daughter, she loves her amp and guitar and hasn't stopped smiling or playing with them since buying them. Staff very friendly and helpful and don't hover around pushing for a sale, they let you take your time looking and trying stuff out. Very relaxed and just what my daughter needed. Thanks again.

Arranged a part ex earlier in the year - received a fair price, and the whole process was handled very efficiently. The guitar was set-up very well and was just as described. Excellent communication and customer service the whole way though. Definitely recommend.

Popped in briefly with son whilst visiting daughter at Edge Hill uni. Extremely well stocked with some high end and classic guitars (Fender, Gibson, PRS and Rickenbacker) others too so prices ranged from £300-£4500. Lots of effects pedals too. Staff left us to have a mooch about, no pressure which was great given the stock; we were like kids in a sweet shop😄 I think you can book an appointment to give things a try if serious about buying. Will certainly consider if spending good money on our 'next' guitar.

Bought a guitar via their website, and it was with me the next day. Unfortunately, it had an issue and needed to go back. Customer service (Ben) was super helpful and a refund was processed when the item got back to them.

Purchased a Rickenbacker 660 - delivered to London the next day exactly when they said it would - no being kept hanging around. First class service from initial contact to receipt of guitar. Guitar a stunner. I can only say the whole process was efficient, courteous and professional. Very impressed.

I can only say the service at Sound Affects is as impressive as the place. Needed the nut sorted on my SE24 custom, Floyd Rose locking tuners, expected the sharp edge to be filed down but they fitted a brand new nut. I know where my next guitars are coming from.

I contacted Sound Affects for some advice initially, and they couldn't have been more better, really great service.
I ended up visiting the store, and it's incredible, they have some amazing stock, and the staff were friendly and helpful, I left with a guitar I didn't expect to buy (a Faith Blood Moon Neptune) but am absolutely delighted with.

Really impressed by not only the setup and selection of guitars, but the lack of pressurised sale and helpfulness of the team. I was able to compare a couple of guitars at my own pace without interruption or aggravation. How buying a guitar should be.

Ordered a guitar on line on Wednesday, delivered,free of postal charges,following day. Expertly packed, even arrived in tune! Had been nervous about buying a guitar on line without trying it but was assured
I could return within 14 days for a full refund if it didn’t suit. Won’t be doing that! All in all these guys offer an outstanding service. They’re very approachable and do a fine job. Would have given them six stars but the limit is five!

Great place, Paul sorted a part-exchange for a Taylor with a Martin I was selling, all done quickly and easily, other options given too but more than happy with the deal he offered there and then. No hassle to park either, always a bonus for places in busy towns.

Excellent musical instrument store! Very helpful, friendly staff and almost always have what you need. Excellent website too. The only downside is all the amazing guitars on display I can't afford!
