As always Fantastic food Lovely staff very welcoming A definite 5star!!

Been here a few times and the food has always been great but I had the trio of beef main tonight and it was absolutely amazing. One of the best meals I have ever eaten. Service was a bit slow but there were not enough staff working - the service we did get was brilliant. Highly recommend.

Absolutely fantastic experience. The staff were lovely and attentive, the menu had plenty I would have liked to have picked.

I went back for brunch on the Sunday and 10/10 again!

Perhaps not the best time for a great atmosphere (17:30) those who are drinking are soaking up the last ☀in the beer garden. Added to this - the newly crowned young pub chef of the year is away on his hols in 🇭🇷. The ale nevertheless is great - a choice of 3 on cask.

We had been due to be getting married but unfortunately covid has meant we had to postpone for now. However, we wanted to enjoy some quality time together in places that we love. Obviously we couldn't miss this lovely place.

My fiancee booked in advance by phone and had a lovely table inside in warm comfortable surroundings. Our service was lovely, the staff are very polite and welcomed us back.

We enjoyed the three course meal and savoured each bite from start to finish. Staff all wore face coverings and everywhere looked and kept clean.

They have done so much to ensure they've continued to provide the best service for their patrons by adapting the indoor seating booths, to their cricketers to go service and the one way system within the pub with table only service has meant they for me are one of the local success stories despite the effects of restrictions.

Their hard work is evident and should be rewarded with another visit soon.

Me and my mum went here for tea last night. It was lovely and always has been for many many years now. This is why its one of the best places to eat in Ormskirk. Thanks to the staff who are a pleasure.

First time back here in a few years and WOW so glad we did .food was just amazing. Staff couldn't do enough for us with having a small child with us .such a lovely relaxing meal and the place has been done up and looks amazing. And for the price very fair especially for the portion sizes and quality. Our new favourite place to go .we'll done to dave and the team definitely 5 stars all round ✨

I went on vacation with my friend Anne and we spent New Year's Eve there, excellent food, good atmosphere and luxury service, everyone was very friendly and the music was very good.

Great pub serving bloody fantastic food. The bar staff are great at recommending beers to a non-local. Everything we ate was prepared really well and can tell a lot of thought and time goes into the menu and execution of the dishes. We’ll be back on the next visit to the UK

Lovely meal for our work celebration, all served together, food was all beautifully cooked, well presented and very tasty. Would definitely go again 😊

Visited for a family birthday meal. Food was amazing. Starter was crispy chicken and my main was topside of beef. Although I waited for both after others where eating I received a free drink. The crispy chicken was full of spicy flavour. The beef gravy was yum 😋

Had a fabulous meal here for my sister's 30th. The staff were so accommodating, excellent customer service, and the food was delicious. Highly recommend.

The food had always been good over last few years. Stopped coming for a time when there was a really rude waitress luckily it looks like she left. Great food and atmosphere. Probably worth ignoring some if the one review people who write some spurious comments. Worth a visit!

Held a couple of special events here now, and always been lovely. Friendly staff, great food and reasonably priced too :-)

Very busy and we can see why. Excellent choice of real ales, pleasant, helpful, polite staff and a nice environment. We opted for the "Lancashire Tapas" part of the menu and were not disappointed. Loved the map on the menu that showed where the Lancashire food was from. Also nice to see Vegetarian & Vegan Options available.
