KFC Bridgend - The Designer Outlet

Of the 5 or so KFC joints I've visited in the UK, this had to be the best. Perhaps coincidence or perhaps pride by staff, all the food was beyond expectations for a KFC. Was clean and staff was social. Not in that are much but I'd def frequent this one if I was.

Service has become a big improvement here compared to a few years ago. You can actually walk in and get served in a reasonable amount of time now, as opposed to the big waiting times and resulting mistakes in your food order from only a couple of years ago. There are some occasions where waiting time is around 10 minutes - given this is poultry I'd rather the wait to ensure food is cooked properly, rather than dried up chicken or even worse, a long ride on the porcelain bus due to undercooked meat. Better to wait and have unsafe food in my opinion.

My only minor issue is if we have guests or our two elder sins are home visiting, the £24.99 'Party Bucket' is clearly made up of smaller and cheaper cuts of chicken - this obviously cooks quicker and also dries up a lot quicker and really isn't good value for money. Better to get the Variety Bucket - less chicken but better quality and more than enough for a family of 4.

Cleanliness is good, but on a few occasions there's been no paper napkins available or straws. Counter service is mostly friendly with the exception of the occasional colleague who's clearly been called out to cope with demand and is clearly stressed Eric. To be expected at times but still, crack a smile.

Car park is fine and it's easy to get to. Friday evening is bedlam so plan carefully and expect to wait. Pricing is decent but also very subjective - personally not an issue but it's a treat and something we budget for every now and then.

As I said, much better than it used to be and I've not had any issues for quite some time.

One of the best KFCs. The chips are always good and the chicken is always cooked perfectly. Staff are always friendly and helpful. They must have great staff and training as it's always consistently good, unlike other KFCs.

The food was freshly cooked, chicken fillets were stunning. From being served at the counter in drive-in, the young man was so very helpful, he was so polight , and the young man who gave me my order was also very helpful. It was a good and stress free order. I would like to say thank you to those two young men who served me.😊👍

I visited this branch on number of occasions and never had any problems. Food is the standard kfc food you would expect and seems fresh. I only ever use the drive through and the staff is always polite and order comes out fast.

Most recently we had a great experience at this KFC. Drive thru moved quickly. Order was taken efficiently, correct food received and it was hot and fresh. The employees were polite and friendly. Thank you 😊

This restaurant really impressed me with the way it treats his customer and listens their customers willings. I recommend it 100%. It is a joy to be their continuous customers.

Now who doesn't know what KFC is, I mean..you can find this almost everywhere. This fast food takeaway or "restaurant" is scrumptious. Big burgers, popcorn chicken (my favourite), chicken drumsticks and chips! (Obviously) I would have to rate it 5! So I would find the nearest building to experience that yummy feeling!

One of the better KFC, have been to some which I dont think it would be fair to mention in this review. But this KFC was clean, tidy and plenty of parking. Easily accessible just off the M4.

Need more communication. As they just ignore people if they are waiting at the till(not me but I seen it done to multiple people) it doesn't take much to say someone will be with you in two minutes no matter how busy you are.

Good experience, staff are very friendly and helpful (especially Caitlin). If any problem occurs staff are quick to respond and free drink/food is given quickly.
Food is very nice and reasonably priced

The order line was quite long but once my order was taken, my food was ready promptly piping hot. service with a smile can not beat it :)

Can be a bit slow on the drive through and producing the orders but food always hot and plenty to choose from on the menu.

At a non-peak time, I was served very quickly, and they had what I wanted! Can't complain about anything at all about the service - the food was great, too! 👍

Called in to the drive through on the way back from Silverstone, staff ultra polite and helpful, so much better than maccie ds.

Lovely food but run out on gravy. Nice and hot but had to wait due to there being a queue in the drive through

The customer service was impeccable. The food was so nice compared to other KFC restaurants I have been to before.
