Delicious, generous-sized burger, with great chips and coleslaw etc. Staff said burgers are made on site and they certainly knows how to cook them well. Helpful staff. Amazing value for money. So glad we visited.

We ordered a pizza and dirty fries from here whilst on holiday. I have to say it was some of the best food we have ever had. We have travelled a lot and ordered food from many places and this is by far the best. I cant rate this place highly enough. Yes it looks a little run down from the outside but I would rather it look like this and the food and service be first class which it is. The staff are welcoming friendly and attentive. Not sure you could ask for more. Thank you

F*ntastic. Despite a little confusion over not being with a larger group the overall experience was heartwarming.
Happy attentive waitresses, fast food service. Beautiful food with whitebait starter and lamb steak main. Would definitely recommend.
Highly recommended the lamb as succulent generous portion with well paired mint gravy.

Proper country pub. Excellent sunday roast. Covered outdoor seating, cheerful pleasant staff.
A better choice of alcohol free beers would have been good as we don't all drink lager. (Eeeeeeugh!)

Really lovely fish n chips, excellent value and a very warm welcome from Ellie, who was kind enough to give our dog a bowl of water. A proper pub- super.

I recently returned to this pub following a long absence after hearing new owners had taken over. What a difference!!

Will be returning again soon.

Lovely lazy afternoon lunch.. Stayed local so decided to go & have a look. Food was good with a decent size menu of usual pub grub. Only had one ale on at the time but it was local & very delicious. Would recommend if you are in the area & will definitely return myself in the future.

This is a proper traditional village pub with characters. There are two bars and several rooms to sit in. The pub is owner run. Lovely friendly owner and staff. Selection of real ales and lagers. The place serves good value, tasty and filling meals.
The Sunday roast is very good, none of that thin beef, but proper beef sliced from a proper roast joint Pork and chicken roast also available.
They have recently added a conservatory, last month, so can seat more people when they are busy. There is a garden, so can eat there when the Welsh weather permits.
I believe you can stay at the pub as they have several rooms for visitors. I have in the past. The new owners (2 years) say that they are renovating the rooms, so check on status.
My last visit enjoyed a lunch sitting outside watching horses and their riders come by. Apparently the pub is on a horse touring itinerary.

Amazing food. I had mild chicken curry with half chips and half rice. Excellent home made taste. We also had lasagne, pizza and a burger. All 5 star. Homemade chips to die for. Thanks chef!

Staff were extra level friendly. Really liked them, genuinely lovely people.
Stayed in the static caravans with friends. Had a breakfast. Had an evening meal.
All were very well priced. Felt like care had gone into every part of the stay.
The pub is great for sunny beer garden drinking or sitting in a old style log fire lounge in winter.
Definitely recommend.

We stayed at Fforest Fields camp site up the road. The pub provided mini bus transport both ways which was great. We were a big group so a room was set aside for us. We had great food and a great night. Will be back next year 👍

Fab little find, the bar manager is fabulous a real blast and the food is not what you expect from this small unassuming pub.The pork belly was something special, also the chips are possibly the best I have had ever 😋
