Cromwell Cottage Northampton

Second time here. This time I had scallops for starter and they was the best I’ve had perfectly cooked and large. The steak was really nice too, well cooked with a chargrilled taste. My wife enjoyed her food too. She said the cocktail was really nice. We had the dining experience which is really good value for money. The atmosphere is good and the service is really friendly. They’re very quick with the food but not too quick. We’ll definitely be back, it’s become one of our favourite places for a date night.

Found this place on Google maps while looking for vegan places to eat. Wow, this place is incredible, staff exta nice food was to die for. Very busy on the Sunday I visited but was able to sit in the more relaxing bar area. Great Vegan food.

Wow what a treat! This was my first time here at the Cromwell Cottage and they did not disappoint. The Cromwell is charming with lovely aesthetics all throughout the restaurant.
Ava our server was very well knowledge in her food recommendations as well as pleasant conversation with my friend and I. If you're near the area and want to check out a proper gastropub look no further!

We booked for my son’s birthday, and no problems .Decor was loverly and staff really nice.
When ordering Maddie the waitress was excellent .The food was really good and we enjoyed the day.We were impressed by the restaurant and will return.
One issue we had was the sweet was a little expensive for size .
But would still recommend and my son loved the day .

Always love going to the Cromwell Cottage for food, ever since I was a kid with my parents. The food is always great, lovely pub/restaurant style and great service. Our server Holly was lovely and attentive and was so friendly to our 4 year old daughter too. Great Sunday lunch :)

Came for dinner with my family. We had the sausage and mash x2, pizza and pork belly. All of it was amazing! The pub is lovely and the service was excellent. All the staff were really friendly, the food was tasty and came out really quick.
We will definitely be returning soon!

Very nice high quality lunch set in an extended period pub. Lovely relaxed afternoon with open fire and friendly staff. Tastefully decorated for the festive season.
Returning in the Summer with it's lovely open feel dinning room and courtyard alfresco area is very pleasant on a sunny afternoon in August.
Back again for a full birthday blow out in the newly refurbished restaurant.

We had our Mother's day lunch here - a set menu of choices at a very reasonable price for the quality of the food. We've been here many a time before, and we keep coming back. The food and service here are so very good with great choices for kids too - would definitely recommend.

Took the family for Sunday lunch at the Cromwell. Was great as my daughter didn’t have to have a Sunday roast. I had the trio of meat and my partner had the duo.
Holly was our waitress and her service was amazing. Food was very good as always.

I took my elderly mother here on the reopening. Despite the fact that they were clearly busy, they took time to find a suitable table and check we were ok. The decor is very welcoming, there was a roaring fire in the hearth, the outside will be fantastic when the weather improves as well - lighting and music in the seating areas. The service was fantastic, food was excellent - mum had the cod and chips, which was huge, I had the king prawn, crab, chorizo and scallops linguine - a fantastic combination of flavours! I can’t wait to go back and try some of the other options. Thank you!

Great atmosphere, very friendly and great food. So grateful to everyone here for hosting my dad's 90th birthday lunch. Everything was made easy and we all had a wonderful time. Plus everything so reasonably priced for the quality. Highly recommended.

What an incredible place to eat and relax! Sabi who was our host made sure we were greeted with the warmest welcome possible. Food was 10/10 and the staff are really friendly too! Will definitely recommend and go back really soon.

My wife and I went for a meal at Cromwell Cottage. We were surprised how busy it was, Our server Louise explained they had an exceptionally large party in that they didn't usually cater for, and apologised throughout the night for the slower than usual service.
On the contrary, we actually thought the service provided by Louise and her colleagues was excellent. The restaurant and atmosphere, although busy, was lively and buzzing but not overcrowded. The food from start to finish was excellent, we chose the £100 set menu which covered 3 courses and a bottle of wine, we both had sticky chicken to start, then pork belly and also sea bass,for dessert we both had chocolate bomb. All the food portions were plentiful and well presented, food was all really tasty, and set menu very good value for the quality.
Louise was warm, friendly and attentive, but we weren't rushed, although clearly busy we didn't have to wait too long for anything, despite Louise apologising she did an excellent job looking after us and we will return.

I visited with the family on a busy weekend and the food was excellent, however the service that we received was exceptional we believe that the young lady who served us was called Sabi!
Highly recommended for food and drinks!
Will definitely be returning again soon

We live close to here so visit quite often. Every time we go it’s great, staff are always helpful and food is always good. Nice outside space to enjoy the sun and it’s super dog friendly which is perfect for a mid dog walk stop off!
