Rob Roy Hotel

Thousands of pounds must've been spent on renovation since I was last there. My room was clean, well-furnished, beautiful, with a lovely outlook and with a bath as requested. Staff amazingly helpful. Menu choices very good indeed, service is first-class, food is hot, well-cooked and delicious. Only caveat (as a single traveller) is the seating arrangements, sitting cheek-by-jowl with others who are in groups/pairs. Separating the tables out would make dining much more pleasurable.

Our group of 43 bowlers have just returned home after staying for 4 nights. The service was very efficient and the food was excellent with 4 choices on the 3 course evening meals. Breakfasts were really good and enjoyed by all. Entertainment good on the 2 nights. Not one complaint about anything. We would definitely stay here again.

An evening stroll of 20 minutes took us into Aberfoyle , lovely.

The hotel was situated in a quiet setting. The room was spacious and very clean. The service was excellent all evening meals were waiter served with great choice and fabulous food. Overall a fantastic stay.

Spacious rooms. There is a good bike/foot path to the nearby town, so we came in and out by bus from Stirling with little trouble.

Great breakfast. Great hiking. Pretty quiet.

Lovely hotel with beautiful surroundings. Food good, staff friendly, clean rooms. Wifi is available throughout.

Great place for a stop over. Hotel decorated really well. Rooms little out dated but you have everything u need in the room like tea/coffee tray, television, hairdryer and our room had modern shower. We also slept really well, beds are comfortable. This hotel is a coach stop having 2 to 3 coaches a nite in summer but Hotel was still very quiet at nite. Coach passengers have a different breakfast area to other guests which is a great touch. Breakfast was lovely with choice of toast some fruit or buffet hot breakfast and tea/ coffee. The breakfast room was set out well, was lovely and peaceful with quiet ambient background music. There is a lovely footpath directly behind the hotel along the river which leads straight into aberfoyle, only takes 10 mins to walk and is really handy for the shops. Staff are so lovely, friendly and helpful. Would recommend and will be staying again.

Just back from a 5 day coach trip to Scotland and the Rob Roy hotel was our base.
Lovely friendly staff, rooms large and clean.

Here on a Coach Tour, rooms are cosy, excellent showers, meals are very good , generally three choices of starter,main & sweet.really good breakfast choices, including usual cooked breakfast choices buffet style.serving staff are very industrious, very pleasant too. Location? Depends on your reason for being here! It's good for some walking,routes straight from the door!well placed for travel to other destinations & attractions.well attend bar,by that I mean staff served quickly.

Visited as part of a Majestic coach tour, we stayed four nights here, a great location, comfortable rooms, good food, friendly staff, nice bar area to relax in.

Stayed here several times and it never disappoints. Lovely staff, clean rooms and delicious food. Will definitely keep coming back.

Slightly dated but beautiful and clean. Large rooms. Having 2 chairs was nice to sit and watch the TV after a day out. Buffet choice for breakfast and menu service for dinner. Couldn't fault. Helpful friendly staff. Dog friendly too. We were able to sit in the bar and she was able to be with us at mealtime . Got a sausage or two. She was spoilt. Would stay there again. Nice walk from the hotel to Aberfoyle. Quiet path away from the road. Lots of walks in the area too. Great little tablet and ice cream shop on the main street.

Went for an 80s tribute night. Good food, staff were excellent. Great night out.

Really enjoyable stay here. Lovely views from bedrooms into the forest. Food was lovely and the staff were friendly.
Rooms were not cleaned/changed during the 5 day stay but fresh towels etc were available from reception.
Lovely outdoor seating area and Aberfoyle town a short walk away. Thank you for a very nice holiday experience
