House of Hobbies

Never had a problem with the house of hobbies - despite some reviews saying other things to the negative -( I don't see how you can bring a former venture into it ? No bearings as far as im concerned - you don't know the circumstances! ) Most people seem to leave a negative review just because they don't read the website properly ! If it says in stock -it's in the shop -available means it's ordered in ! Not rocket science - give the man a chance plz -shops are becoming harder to find these days. Worth a look if in the area !

The product level of quality House of Hobbies provides makes them an excellent choice for gift-giving! I don't know much about model locomotives, but the staff were very resourceful, and informative which made finding the right present for my father such an easy process! Very pleased!

I have shopped at House of Hobbies a number of times since they opened - either in person, click and collect and by mail. I can say that the service provided by what is a small business, has been exceptional. During personal visits Martin, the owner, gives advise freely and has on a couple of occasions saved me money by offering alternative solutions to an issue.

I would certainly recommend House of Homies and wish Martin and his team success in the future - I will keep visiting, my layout is far from complete!

I placed two orders before Christmas, the smaller one arrived about two days before Christmas. Which was unexpected being the time of year.
The second order I know you have received, but have had no advice regarding if in stock or delivery notification. Being the time of year and how busy companies are I am not surprised.
The possible delays to my order do not worry me too much. Your unfortunate circumstances regarding sickness is something very hard to plan for.
I wish you the best of luck for increasing your stock levels in the coming year and that the problem’s this year would not deter me from placing further orders. I believe in judging by good times not the unexpected which can be hard to fix right away.

Ordered a Graham Farish set after being let down by a different supplier, House of Hobbies went above and beyond to make sure that the set was with me in time for the recipient's birthday. Can't recommend this shop highly enough, I'll definitely order from them again. Huge thanks!

Excellent store, great to support an independent business and do check out the prices on modelling paints - so much cheaper than a certain big online store. I bought a 1/72 Spitfire kit for my son at virtually the same price too, well worth a look, and there's real people to talk to!

Still modelling two kits supplied by House of Hobbies. I have 4 kits lined up for 2024 which will be purchased from the shop. Plenty of paint & modelling tools always on hand or to order. BEST WISHES for 2024 from me, thanks Martin & Co.

made a web order of an instock item 15th December, chased on email, no response, no items sent. now 9th January. No answer on phoneline. stuck with what to do. (Update) shop did respond to a further email and full refund offer, as item out of stock. So all getting sorted, so gave positive review to reflect.

We were very happy with the products we purchased.
And even when we had to add to the order at a later time, they were matched up and arrived promptly and in perfect condition.

I purchased figures for my 009 model railway Christmas layout. Came well wrapped and in a timely manner. Items were as described.

Brilliant service with a smile, and backed up by intimate knowledge of the hobbies technicalities. Good prices, and quality items for sale.
My new Gaugemaster track cleaning van is a gem, and saves me hrs trying to clean a complex layout by hand, not to mention the damage to lineside items.

First visit today and liked the feel of a proper hobby/model shop which you don't get shopping online, also the paint was cheaper than buying online. Martin the owner was very friendly and had lots of time to talk. Will return again.
