Monty's Fish & Chips

I popped in today for a quick bite to eat on my way home.
It was quite busy but the service was very acceptable.
The staff were friendly and where I day was very clean.
The fish and chips were lovely and filling.
Will definitely pop in again.

Great food which is the most important issue.
Staff were okay but seemed a bit distracted as if they wanted to be elsewhere.
Prices £5.60 for a decent sized Haddock and £2.75 for a good portion of chips.

Filling and healthy portion of fish and chips. All fried separate from meat - been searching like crazy. All staff very helpful and friendly.

Two large cod with three large chips fed five very hungry stomachs. All, not the stomachs, cooked fresh on order. Great value suggested by the older member of staff.

The syrup pudding with custard highly recommended, but with cream just as delicious.

They take bookings, so hoping to have our last supper Saturday night.

After a long drive we found the food decently prepared and fresh. Ditto chips. Staff excellent

It's one of the best fish and chips place. They manage to get it right every single time. The staff there are very friendly! Quick service.
Took the lunch meal deal where you get small fish and chips, mushy peas, buttered toast and coffee/tea. What more can you ask for on a cold day in Leek. All that for £5.90. it's a bargain!

This is our go to place for chips as I find the food to taste the best and is consistently the same, whereas other places in Leek I find hit and miss.

Just popped in for something quick chips and curry sauce the chips were cooked to perfection with a good colour
And the curry sauce was just perfect

Whilst there was a communication issue where I didn't get my chips, but the fish was very good. Tasted fresh, plus nice crunchy batter.

Next time, I'll write my order down as I think the lady that served me couldn't hear what I said, hence ending up with just fish and no chips. Still great fish tho!

Cracking chippy, never had a bad batch, plenty of salt and vinegar! Friendly atmosphere even when they’re busy.

I wouldn't usually write a review for my lunch at work but just stopped off at montys and had a small fish and chips with curry sauce. It was literally the best fish and chips I've ever had, good portion and so fresh. May have been lucky with timing but it was perfect, could not fault one thing and I've had many fish and chips over the last 34 years. Would definitely visit again if I'm up in the area.

This place is a real gem! The food is excellent and good value. Keith and his staff are so friendly and we love coming here. Keep up the good work!

This great eat in, take away Fish and Chip shop is without doubt one of the very best. The staff are all lovely and go the extra yard to make you welcome. It’s totally dog 🐕 friendly and they get to eat free, just amazing. Thank you to all at Montys you should be proud of yourselves. 😊👍💖

Great food and friendly service! My daughter had to take an urgent call, so had to step out just before the food was delivered, they kept her food warm and even prepared fresh chips for her when she returned. You couldn't ask for better service! Thank you :)

One of the best fish and chips we have had. Went there as family of 6 and there was plenty of seating for all of us. Service was really good. Everyone was very kind and caring. We didn't want our fish cooked in the same oil as other meats so they had it cooked in a separate pan. Much appreciated!

So glad to have found this little gem! We've eaten in and taken out, the food was brilliant, environment is clean and the staff/management were very friendly.
Would highly recommend.
