Time for Tea

Lovely tea rooms with friendly staff. Coffee was excellent as were the cheese and fruit scones, really enjoyed them. Just can't believe a bad recent review I've just read relates to Time For Tea in Street, Somerset. In fact it's 'cash only' and that review refers to the card machine ! We had a delightful visit and will definitely be returning when next in the area.

Excellent cafe. Delicious cup of proper tea, from a tea pot, with tea leaves. Yummy cake too. The food being served to others looked great so we plan to return for lunch next time we are in town.

Absolutely love this place, independently run by friendly professional staff and the food is absolutely delicious, soup 🍜 , omelettes, sandwiches, 🥪 jacket potatoes 🥔 and much more including cakes to die for, would not go to any of the large chains, much better here, very cosy, would not go anywhere else in Street.

Always enjoy a visit to these tea rooms when in Street, one of the best afternoon teas, and always had good service

We visited here rather than spend some extortionate amount of money at a faceless chain in Clarks village.

Nice little place, seems very friendly, we sat in the corner downstairs, and had tuna jacket potato, a very lovely tomato and pepper soup, with a ham and cheese sandwich, a pot of tea and a soft drink. Very nice portion sizes, food very fresh, and the soup was very very good.
Seating available upstairs too. Would happily visit here again.
Mostly sandwiches, jackets, paninis, light bites, that kind of thing.
Also it is cash only so come prepared.

I called in here for tea after using the Lido in Street and waiting for the bus home so all very central, quick service and nice to sit outside at the back - it was near the end of the day (they close quite early) but good service and pleasant staff and good food - it is CASH only so be warned

Visited recently and loved it

Nicely situated in the high street of Street, this a cosy tearoom with seating up and down. We were seated up stairs and the tables were well placed and not cramped at all. The sandwiches and soup we had were made fresh and very tasty and well presented. This is a cash only venue, pay at till. The service was quick, the staff were very pleasant. Will be going back if I find myself in the area

Susan and her team, are very welcoming, and will make your time spent with them, a happy time. Everything is done to a very high standard. I love this place.

I have been to this cafe quite a few times now and the service and standard of food is exceptional. Friendly staff and great fresh tasty food. I recommend the Club Sandwich!

Brilliant cafe, friendly people, pleasant atmosphere, caters for vegans aswell - will modify food and drink accordingly. Can't go wrong here

Good food and friendly staff, I only had an omelette but it was perfect and the tea was loose leaf. I will call again next time I am shopping in street.

Delicious food, great service, reasonable prices and happy to adapt meals (coming from someone used to Surrey prices). Definitely reccomend!
