The Red Lion, Llandybie

From the get go, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. This is a prime example of a dog friendly pup. They really are fantastic with dogs. They bought us over a bowl of water and gave our Bo lovely fusses. We didn’t want to leave! The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was excellent. I really couldn’t have asked for more. Been going to the Red Lion for a few years. But hadn’t revisited since the beginning of Covid.
Been back recently on two occasions for Sunday lunch as I now live a short distance away.
And yes, still the high standard all round. Delicious lunch, and always consistently tasty and filling. Well done 👍🏼

The food was amazing .The staff were very good . The atmosphere was great .The chef really knows what he’s doing . The owner was great and very friendly . I would 100% recommend this pub to everyone. We will definitely be going back here very soon .

The Red Lion is our local Restaurant after we moved down the road about 3 years ago, we call here now at least every few weeks for a meal & Drink's, either on our own or with friends and family, the welcome is always great, the staff are lovely and attentive and the food never fails to be amazing.

Business’s and restaurants because if you don’t you could lose them, so if you’ve never been, give them a try and I guarantee you won’t be disappointed 5*’s all the way for us 👍🏻

We found this place completely by chance as we were staying in a local air b&b.
This is a proper pub like they use to be. A warm welcome, great selection of drinks, attentive service and above all the steak is in my top 5 ever! My suggestion is go for the 12oz rump!

This was a last-minute booking - on my own, so they gave me a table in the bar. That didn't sound great, but on a rainy Sunday lunchtime the restaurant areas were full and the bar was quiet, which I was glad of. The food is good - had slow-cooked beef with a generous serving of vegetables nicely served - buttery mash, plenty of gravy. Service was pleasant and efficient, prices are very reasonable and I would be very happy to eat there again.

We had my Dad's wake at the Red Lion on Wednesday and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The food was fantastic and Huw is an absolutely wonderful host. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for any occasion.

First time visiting the Red Lion and we will definitely be back. The car park was full on arrival which is a good sign. The staff were super friendly and made a fuss of our dogs and baby. The Sunday roast was really nicely presented, very tasty and the portion size was excellent. The vegan options were equally good. Great food and great people, what more could you want? A nice pub that is worth a visit.

Popped in for a pint & bar snacks. Friendly welcome nothing too much trouble. Lovely atmosphere - we will be back soon.

The heart of our village. Great food, great people, great atmosphere. Always perfect. Real Wales. Just gets better and better. Combines local pub hospitality with excellent food catering and total dog lovers. Now with an excellent Garden Menu. Terrific beer garden and outside
tables. Managed with care and always willing to try something new!

We recently had our wedding at The Red Lion, Llandybie and we couldn't be happier with the whole day. The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout.
The food was absolutely delicious and our guests all commented about the quality of the meals, and excellent service. We'd highly recommend Huw and his team at The Red Lion for meals and/or special occasions.
