Had boat 2 pack there was a problem with blooming, contacted Matt with photos and was rebooked straight in. All rectified in a few days. Brilliant team nothing to much trouble. Thank you Matt and Steve. Highly recommend this family business they really go out of there way for customer satisfaction.

We used the dry Dock to black our narrowboat and the guys there were amazing. Incredibly helpful and polite and fantastic prices. Highly recommended and will definitely use again and tell others to use them 👌

Sometimes you find somewhere that's just so easy to deal with. Laid back but productive. Flexible but committed. Nothing was too much bother and plenty of great advice, decent fair transparent pricing. Boat yard itself pretty decent for staying aboard. Hook up power, mobile sig was fine (voda). Dog wasn't bothered by the noise & they gave her a wide plank to get on & off more easily.
Definitely will be back to DIY black again. Really great guys & service.

Just taken the boat out of the dry dock yesterday after DIY blacking. Both Matts, Steve and Rob were very helpful, steam pressure washed the hull, made sure we were ok with everything then left us to it. This is my 3rd visit, and will be back next time.

We have just had our boat repainted and blacked by Steve, Matt and Matt and we are absolutely over the moon with the result, they prepared the boat for painting meticulously and it now has a good depth of paint. Nothing was too much trouble for them they treated the boat and it's contents with respect.
They were constantly in touch with us with regular updates and invites to view progress. The signwriting was done by Phill and again he did a fantastic job.
I would give more stars if I could.

These guys were amazing. They slotted us in at no notice when we called them on a Friday morning before a bank holiday with a fuming battery problem. They diagnosed the problem without fuss and not only replaced 3 of our batteries, but they also fixed a faulty temperature gauge at no extra charge. From start to finish the customer service was great, friendly and informative throughout, and the price completely reasonable. I would also add that the cafe at the marina was a lovely place to hang out whilst waiting. It’s all highly recommended.

Just had my boat blacked by Steve and Matt..absolute top quality job and workmanship,the boat looks great now..they did a couple of other maintenance jobs at the same time and kept me fully informed whilst my boat was with them.very highly recommended..

Burton boat Co is a different entity from the marina. Great guys who work on the boats, very trust wothhy and honest. Fair price for good work.

Well kept tidy moorings with a well stocked chandlers and a decent cafe for breakfast all hidden away through a tiny brick tunnel off the Trent and Mersey canal.

No problems as advertised

Poor quality work! Avoid!

Asked for a 4th leisure battery. When they said it was done I checked. It wasn't.
They decided to fit a starter battery instead.

Asked for a water gauge to be fitted. It doesn't work and hangs off the bulkhead.

Asked for a radiator to be removed. They didn't refill the system.

Asked for a toilet to be fixed. They had a week but started the day before it was due. Toilet isn't fixed as it continually fills with water.

Asked for the diesel heater to be fixed. They investigated and said it was due to poor fuel. It isn't, its due to all the air locks in the system.

None of the work completed by the agreed date causing a weeks delay in leaving.

Total refusal from the company to accept any responsibility for the shoddy work and work carried out without consultation.

To demonstrate their customer service skills match their competence.I have now received a threatening email from them. Quote shown below:

"If payment is so much as a day later than the legal time scale set we will be outside the boat first thing the next day to collect are property from the boat as per our legal right as the legal owners of the property currently in use on your boat. Of which we reserve are legal right to do so, this email serves as your legal notes of such and will be used in court should it come to that"

All in all a terrible company to deal with. I will never use them again.
