I recently visited Barkley park garden centre and was very impressed. The restaurant is a lovely big open space with plenty of options for food and drinks.
There's also plenty of car parking spaces and 2 bays for coaches.
If you have a few hours spare it's well worth a visit.

Great selection of plants and garden paraphernalia (pots, ornaments, lights, furniture, trellises, etc) beautifully displayed. Definitely not cheap, but very good quality, so by and large worth the extra expense.
The restaurant is very attractive and serves excellent quality food and the service is very good. You can order online from your table, which is great!
All in all I thoroughly recommend it!

My friends & I visited the refurbished restaurant at Byrkley today. It looks great, much bigger. It's light & airy & there's a choice of tables with comfy chairs or padded benches. Well thought out. We all had superb fish n chips. The batter was crispy & the fish succulent. And it came with bread & butter so we could make chip butties. Best fish n chips I've had in a long time. Well done chef Lawrence.Thankyou so much. There was no waiting around, the staff were very helpful, would highly recommend

Had breakfast in the recently refurbished restaurant. Very tasty, good quality and value for money.
On a return visit today 25/07/24 treated myself to a pot of tea and a cheese and caramelised onion sandwich. Very enjoyable.

Lovely visit. Cafe is super now it's been updated. Also, area outside is covered which is a real bonus if taking dogs and wanting to stop for a coffee. Well worth visiting.

Great Garden Centre in a picturesque part of Staffordshire.
Lovely Restaurant.
Interesting instore shops with high quality diverse items which are not found on the High Street
And extremely good value well constructed Sheds, Summerhouses and Garden Rooms by Solid Sheds limited who have their own display area.

The place has had a major refurbishment since I last visited and it is a treat. The plants are great, the shop outlets inside very well presented, the restaurant looks great with lovely seating areas, the food is the same good quality. My Mom and I spent 3 happy hours here

Sizeable garden centre with a selection of in store businesses. Nice large clean cafe with good food. Order at the table by QRCode or at the till. Large outdoor covered area as well. Prices for the food and garden centre goods are pretty standard with other ones.

Had a quick look round on a ride out, all very good quality merchandise if a little bit pricey compared to other garden centres. Has a nice new restaurant.

There are plenty of wonderful and unusual plants, so lots of choice. + Thoroughly enjoyed the lattes and jam&cream scones we had.
Will definitely be going back to the garden centre and the cafe

Lovely big garden centre with all the usual things to buy and a great cafe too. There’s also an aquarium there which is a nice addition.

Lovely garden centre. Shame there doesn't seem to be enough staff to clear tables in and around the restaurant of cutlery and crockery. I took a few trays laden back to the kitchen area. We counted at least 10 trays on tables. Not a good impression to be honest.

Good range of quality goods. Prices are a little high compared to others, but the range and quality goes some way to make up for that. Good aquatics centre in particular.

Edit Nov 2021..... went for breakfast this morning. Not really impressed. Order online and pay online with a QR code. Don't get me wrong the food was nice... but it wasn't worth the price. Plus £2.45 for a 330ml glass bottle of coke? That's so expensive £9.95 for a hearty breakfast... you get more at the lord Burton for a cheaper price and it tastes better at 'spoons. There was a little queue to sit down but once seated the tables are well cleaned and they have an extra table next to yours where they put your food tray so they don't come near you. However although the tables were cleaned well the rest of the place needs a good deep clean. The window sills are covered in cobwebs and dead flies. Off putting when you are trying to eat! I understand its an outside garden centre but thats no excuse for the inside especially in a food area. Edit Oct 2021.... went today for a couple of things for my fish tank. Their Christmas displays are out which are great. My attached photo is actually an animated display. The three reindeer sing. Was great to look at and put a smile on my face on a gloomy Halloween day. Lovely independent local garden centre. They have a food section so you can go out for lunch. The plants are slightly over priced I think but sometimes you get better quality when you pay more. I used to go to the aquatic section all the time a few years ago when I still had a fish tank. They have a great choice on cold water and tropical fish.
