Axe Valley Vets

We took our Scottie in for his yearly check and vaccines this morning . He was very nervous but they went out of their way to make him feel
comfortable and gave him lots of time and treats . He came out a very happy chappy.

The team at blackford are brilliant, they were great with spot, he's can be quite shy around people and barks lots but during his neutering and checkups the team were great at making him comfortable around them. The vet/vet nurse was very thorough with her check and advice.

Staff and vet so very nice my pet was unwell while we are holidaying in Somerset took her to the vets and she was diagnosed as having vertigo. Which I had never heard of dogs getting this. We just have to keep her calm hopefully she will be ok. Once again a big thank you to the practice.

Nicky is an absolute superstar who not only takes exceptional care of our beloved cat but also provides friendly and professional advice on treatment options. AMAZING! I was looking after my sister's puppy whilst she was away on holiday when Pika became sick. I took her to see Dave at Axe Valley Vets, who was so kind and friendly. He kept her in for the day and monitored her and did what vets do! She came home for the night and spent the next day back on her drip. The nurses were the most dog-loving bunch of gals I've ever met. So I would just like to say a MASSIVE thank you for looking after her and making her better. And thank you especially to Dave, Emily, Sarah and Liz <3

Axe Valley Vets are excellent. Their care and compassion and professionalism is second to none. We could highly recommend them to other pet owners. They have looked after us and our dogs, cats and ponies since 1996.

We took our little Dee Dee in to be spayed, my wife and i had our concerns but the head nurse doon put us at ease. They wmhave bee brilliant with our little day and we cantvthank them enough.

After having moved vets we registered with these vets on hearing such great things about them .. sadly today we had to say goodnight to one of our yard cats it broke us to pieces we tried our best but he just shut down first time using these vets and happy we did very very kind caring with our beautiful boy Lawrence we are still in alot of pain losing him but I know he is in no more pain now and he is running pain free

If your looking for a Vet to take care of your Dog Jo here is the best Vet possible.. thorough in her work to make sure everything is ok with your Dog or Animal.. plus is super personable during the visit .. your pet will be in super excellent hands here!! We had one appointment here as our current vet practice couldn't see us. That one appointment was all it took to decide to move to Axe Valley. The vet and reception team were so kind and reassuring during what was a very difficult appointment. Would recommend them without hesitation. Thank you for the kindness you showed. It kept me going yesterday!

Amazing service and care. Very thankful for the respect and care shown to my little rescue dog with multiple and complex health needs. All the staff are lovely, and vet Dave Kemp has been phenomenal. Always grateful guys - keep up the great work!

I am both extremely grateful and happy by the service I have received from Axe Valley Vets, Sheldon despite still having a long way to come seems to be doing a lot better than what he was. Not many vets handle Tortoises with as much love as these guys did! So to all the people who are looking after my sweet little buddy! Friendly and welcoming. Give confidence to owners that your pet will be well cared for. Everyone is most approachable. I have used this vets for years with several of my dogs.

I have always found the staff here to be lovely and the vets have always been helpful and explained treatment options and fees fully before any decisions are made. I have to visit regularly now for 4weekly injections for Oscar and he is always greeted by name.

Absolutely first class. We have used Axe Valley for years and would highly recommend. Staff are always professional and friendly. Jo was fantastic with our Labrador yesterday, so thorough and caring. We wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I couldn’t rate the warm reception, care and empathy of Axe Vally Vets Blackford more highly!! From my phone calls to them, the willingness to assist with a pet carrier, the warm welcome from the receptionist to the excellent and very funny, memorable and caring consult with the vet, the call to update me on Camemberts post-op status, the consult with the nurse when fetching him, and the follow up call to check on how he was … I have not experienced this level of care, commitment and service in the UK so far and am truly blown away by it!
So much so that I said to my sister please can we use the vet as our GP! 😆 (and not entirely joking either!)

I've been using axe valley vets for more years than a care to remember, they have been excellent in the care of all my dogs over the years,and just as important when the time comes to say goodbye to your beloved pet, the axe valley vets and receptionists have always shown great compassion. Axe valley have Top class vets and very good reception staff. I would recommend axe valley vets to everyone.
