I was there for a couple of drinks with friends. The place is amazing, front river. When it's sunny you would just spend hours there. Staff is very nice, never tried the food but my friend did and she said it's amazing!

Definitely would suggest if you are visiting Cambridge … we enjoyed our time here after punting … with Grant tours … so got 15% discount.

Ordered the duck and hash was so good. Person who brought our food (blond chap slightly long hair) was very friendly and accommodating. The view is beautiful- never disappointed coming here when in Cambridge. Only criticism is it’s not access friendly- I had to carry my buggy up and down two sets of steps but it’s the location and how the pub is set out but other than that it’s five stars from me all round

A really nice place on the water. We went for lunch. I had their grilled cheese and chips, didn’t take a photo of it because I was too busy enjoying it. Great gin & tonic, it was perfect.

We went here for dinner and we had a really nice time.😊 The food was tasty (salt and pepper could've been better) and very nice portion sizes.
The guys behind the bar were very nice, polite and friendly. Nice and cosy atmosphere as well.

Lovely pub to sit, relax and chill with beers after long walk around Cambridge. Clean toilet. They also have a nice balcony to sit and see the river view.

Amazing setting with views over the river and park. We held a special event here , Kevin and his team could not have been more accommodating of our needs, even with our strict dietary requirements. We were made to feel very welcome , could not recommend enough.

This pub has really been on the up the last six months. Great new management and a real buzz when you walk in.

Such a super pub/resturant ! This was our 2nd visit and how lovely that the staff remembered us ! We had a spectacular roast on a Sunday a few months ago and today the Atlantic cod, wow.. chunky and cooked to perfection! We sat outside today as it was so beautiful, lovely courtyard garden area with fabulous views over the river Cam. The menu is small but perfectly varied for anyone’s tastes. Toilets were immaculate!! Thank you guys for another super lunch and a special thanks to Lauren, what a delightful young lady and works so hard !

The Granta does ale....and does it well. My second visit this year...and I'm still shocked that this notoriously bad ale house is now one of the best.

Ignoring the standard Greene King offerings, they have local beers, done well. I came for one and stayed for three.

Whatever you're doing, keep it up.

The view, the location, the drinks are really great. One of the most beautiful places to have a evening/night out.

Really lovely quality of food served here. I am so glad it’s no longer a green king, instead it’s an independent pub. It definitely has a different but better atmosphere. The only downside was that the wait time was longer than an hour, but it’s definitely worth it for the food!

This review is a shout out for going one step further in customer service. I was there for lunch on a wet day and left my favourite umbrella by the front door.
It's not worth much to anyone, but I've had this brollie for over 10yrs and use it all the time and I've somehow not managed to lose it. So when I got back to London and realised I'd left it, I was gutted.
I called Granta to see if they still had it and willing to send it to me. (I paid them for the shipping and added a tip.) I half expected them to say they don't have the time or it wasn't their policy to send and I'd need to go up and get it -- but they agreed and within 2 days, I was reunited!!! Thanks so much. This sort of customer service says something about the pub and its philosophy. I will certainly go back again! (Especially when it's sunny and I can sit outside to enjoy the amazing view -- and not bring my umbrella!)

It was awesome, their punting trip is superb.. You can enjoy awesome beauty of nature while you learn about the collages around the Cambridge.
