Saundersfoot Welcome Centre

The Welcome & Heritage Centre is well designed, using the original coal office of the 1860’s to tell the story of Saundersfoot.
It opens your eyes to the incredibly important coal industry in and around Saundersfoot, giving a better understanding of what life in the village used to be like and why the residents are so proud today.

The information is provided on fabulous graphic displays with interactive elements throughout making it enjoyable for adults and children alike.

There are lots of old photos on display too helping to bring the old Saundersfoot back to life!

There is also a gift shop selling books and other interesting items.

New museum in Saundersfoot offering fascinating information about the area. A ticket will also give you access to the Schooner a short walk away. Interactive and family friendly, there were a few surprises about the area we never would have known.

A very welcoming small mining museum in the middle of Saundersfoot.The young person in charge that day was working alone but was able to show us and an other small party around the wooden schooner which was 2 minutes away.We were able to go on the deck and have good sea views.Very reasonably priced for about an hour’s entertainment.Thank you Felicity.

Very interesting and informative museum on mining in the area. Staff couldn’t have been anymore helpful, very reasonably priced, plus we could visit a schooner as well.

Brilliant addition to Saundersfoot harbour, well informed friendly staff - great to learn about its mining heritage and global context. Well worth a visit
