Kidwelly Surgery

A very good surgery, never had any problems. Doctors are human it's difficult for them and it doesn't help when these days so many fake illnesses are being self diagnosed on doctor Google.

True it’s not easy to get medical attention these days, however the surgery at Kidwelly came up trumps in support of my 96 year old mother - the ‘gatekeepers’ ie receptionists turned out to be great - very helpful - following our separate requests 2 calls from doctors followed, they were attentive and on the case The second suggested that there should be a revisit by Dr Sam - a worthwhile suggestion!! Dr Sam - great manner, displayed great knowledge and displayed genuine care - a TOP doc ✅

The last 10 years i have had to visit this surgery multiple times, and since last 4 months there have been an absolute massive change in staff, Dr Dan and Dr Ben have completely turned my view from a less than 1star to a fabulous 5 STARS, receptionists have been outstanding. A new refurb of waiting room is ongoing(hopefully there will be wifi when its done?!) keep it going guys!!👍🙌

Appointment was on time, and left Nurse after 5 mins, jabs completed, and Data checked.
15 minute wait to confirm all okay,

Worst surgery I have ever attended.Only giving 1 star as no option for 0 stars.Doctor shouted at me outright-Get your mental health sorted along with that anxiety of yours and do NOT bring it here.I am on Autistic spectrum/and Borderline personality.He told me I was rude and confrontational & to get out..I stated I am leaving..his response was in a loud tone YES YOU DO THAT!
I have been given wrong medication and I feel I have been judged on my mental health.Such prejudice.Much more that has gone on-Such as diabetic nurse stating I have NO TIME to look at your feet.What a waste of an appointment,I have both no family or friend's so I feel taken advantage of.

I almost died because multiple Doctors refused to listen to me and one claimed I was being dramatic. I still suffer because of this. I have had friends & family members that have also been let down multiple times. I've since gone to another Doctors Surgery and the care I have received has been amazing and I believe I would be dead if I hadn't meet them.

Please take your patients seriously. Just because they might look okay to you, doesn't mean that they're okay.

Incompetent and negligent doctors: Every time a member of my family or I have visited this medical practice, the doctors consistently make mistakes due to their apparent reluctance to conduct thorough research. To put it bluntly, if I had followed the doctor's advice, it could have had fatal consequences. It appears that their priorities lie more in receiving payment and leaving on time rather than genuinely assisting patients. This healthcare facility poses serious risks.

Furthermore, the lack of privacy is a glaring issue. Patients are often expected to shout their personal details across the room because the staff is too lazy to get up and walk a few steps to the reception desk. This lack of respect for privacy is not only uncomfortable but also unprofessional.

In addition, the receptionists frequently exhibit rudeness, being dismissive, ill-mannered, and unhelpful. If they dislike dealing with sick people in need of help, perhaps they should consider seeking alternative employment. The overall experience at this practice is far from satisfactory, and improvements are direly needed.

Treated my partner terribly during her pregnancy. Downplayed or ignored dangerous symptoms, resulting in delayed treatment. Join another surgery, even if you have to travel further for it.

Does not deserve even one star but had to just to leave a comment. Absolute joke of a surgery. If this is the NHS then no wonder it's in such a sad state of affairs. They need to have someone in who can really shake the apple tree and get rid of all the rotten apples. Call backs abismally poor at best. Lack of care and sympathy. Attitude of the bloke I spoke to on the phone was bad at best. Been trying for weeks and weeks to get an appointment. Still waiting. Apparently running out of medication is not an urgent matter. But someone with a common cold is. This practice and its managers should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves and how they run this practice. No wonder everyone I talk to has nothing good to say about this practice.

This doctors surgery has gone to the dogs. The last visit I had with this place was diabolically bad. I rang in the morning and it took 45 minutes to talk to a receptionist to get a doctor call back. I spoke to the doctor in the day and they advised me that they would arrange for what I needed and for an information pack to be available for collection at the surgery. I went and collected what was needed and they didn’t give me any information pack so I asked for the information. They were unable to locate it even though it said on the computer that information was to be given. The receptionist then went off and returned after speaking to the manager. I was in formed at this point to “google it”. At the point I was not a happy person. I asked the receptionist politely what kind of response was that. The receptionist that went off again and came back after speaking to the manager again and said they would phone the GP that spoke to me and ask what information was to be given. I followed this with “when will I get a call back about the information”. I was informed at that point they were not able to give me an idea on the call back time. I asked then about the underlying ideals of the NHS about being an easy and free access to healthcare. This was backed with a “what can I do about it. We didn’t speak to you on the phone”. This is an abysmal doctors surgery and I miss the days when it was run by doctors and Jenny was there.

Absolutely useless , that's all I can say ,,,one of the worst surgery's around ,,,needs new management,and more understanding staff who can give good customer care service

What's the point in having a doctors surgery can't even get to c a doctor phon in morning and in a queue for age's and when you get through doctor not available or no doctor there this is a joke no wonder people go to the hospital just to see a doctor

Appaling service. Extensive delays despite urgency. Am still waiting for call back.

Absolutely disgraceful service, they need to be seriously inspected by local authorities.
