We are so grateful to the whole team at Granta. In particular Jane who performed life saving and tricky surgery on our nearly 12 year old dog who had a huge stomach ulcer that was about to perforate. The whole team have been amazing. We have been welcomed, supported, reassured by everyone we have had contact with since being referred. Extra thanks also to Freddie and Vicky who supported us and Ruby at a difficult time. We would highly recommend this vet referral service. Great communication, sensible conversations about costs and a provider we now trust with our dogs care. Thank you all!

We recently had to visit Granta veterinary specialists due to out pup having a massive lump on his neck we were sent to Granta for a CT scan to see what was going on. The vets contacted us the same day of being referred from our local vets and an appointment was made for the following day. When arriving the receptionist team were very welcoming and friendly. Jane the vet was very thorough and kept us up to date with everything. He was found to have 2 grass seeds in his saliva gland, Jane tried to get this out without giving him an operation but wouldn’t budge so we came back a couple of days later to have it removed. After the operation the space filled where the abscess was with fluid and I sent pictures for Jane to see and she would alway reassure us even at the weekend. So I can not thank Granta and the team for looking after our Dexter so well.

The team at Granta are utterly amazing!! From the moment we arrived with a very sick dog they did their utmost to put us at ease. Rob sat and talked to us and more importantly, listened to us! Fergal had to stay with them but we were kept up to date at every turn with phone calls at least twice a day.
When it came to surgery Jackie gave us all the information necessary, both good and not so good, to make the decision we needed to make and due to her skill and that of her incredible team, Fergal has made a full recovery!
I will never be able to thank Granta Veterinary Specialists enough for saving my boys life!!!

Part of me wishes I didn't have to know how great these guys are. But hey I do! Merlin had PU surgery. After a twice blocked bladder my vet in Norwich recommended Granta and well Merlin is fine. Receptionists, Vets nurses, Vets everyone I met at Granta was amazing. Kept me informed. Eased my worries. If I was local I would use them as my veterinary surgery.

The whole team at Granta were fantastic with our miniature dachshund Mina who had to have spinal surgery recently. Everyone was very kind and caring. Max was brilliant, he made sure we were fully informed to make the right decision. Would highly recommend as we felt very comfortable leaving Mina in their care.

We were referred to Granta as our Sheltie, Gracie had suspected bilateral thyroid tumours. The service we received from the whole team was fantastic. Jane, one of the clinical partners who performed the surgery, did an amazing job & our dog is now in remission & back enjoying life. Jane phoned us twice a day when Grace was in hospital to give us an update & has been there to talk to us at every appointment. You never feel rushed, which is a rare thing with vets these days, and they were on hand if we had any issues post surgery. Jane is so nice, friendly, and caring. She was great with Grace, who can be quite aloof being a sheltie. They were also cheaper than other specialist vets, which meant it was all covered under our insurance. I just want to say a massive thanks to Granta & i would highly recommend!

In August 2024 my beloved Dobermann Ruga suffered a slipped disc in his neck resulting in him hardly being able to stand up and experiencing a fair amount of pain and discomfort. My vets referred me to Grantia specialists, it was a Sunday but they took him in straight away and made him comfortable, one of the vets Jacqui totally put my mind at rest with how she engaged with Ruga and me I already knew I was in the perfect! Ruga received the greatest care until he had his MRI scan, he went straight in to have the procedure which was a total success. The neurologist Max who did the procedure is an absolute genius in my mind, he was reassuring and messaged me twice a day every day with updates and even videos and photos of how Ruga was doing which was so appreciated especially as I had to make the decision of either taking Ruga home or leaving him at the practice for another week as my wife and I had to go on our honeymoon, timing couldn’t of been worse because all I wanted was my boy home with me but I knew Ruga was going to get all the love and care he needed at Grantia. I recieved phone calls, videos and photos even when I was on a Greek island!!! Ruga isn’t just a pet to me, he helps me within my dog training business and is my world. I’m delighted to say that Ruga is making a great recovery and is getting stronger every day and in fact I’ve had to slow him down because he wants to be so active. I can’t recommend Grantia specialists enough they are the most professional and caring people I’ve seen in my 40yrs of owning Dibermanns. Every member of staff I met was absolutely lovely and you just knew they were there for Ruga, from Deborah on reception to the very special Max I really can’t thank you enough for treating, loving and caring for my beautiful boy Ruga!
Thank you
Steve

I'm delighted to have been among the earliest clients at Granta. Everyone there was kind and at the top of their professions. Appointments weren't rushed and while my dog was rightly their priority, they definitely listened to my concerns and factored those into his treatment. I was kept up to date with how he was doing at each stage in the days he stayed with them and while I won't make any direct comparisons with other small animal referral specialists in Cambridgeshire (although I have experienced them too with another dog), I will just say that the Granta experience is the best I've had as a client and I felt confident at all times that my dog was in the best possible care.

We were delighted to be one of the first through the doors at Granta Veterinary Specialists. The building is well set up and immaculate and the reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. Max has been treating our 5 year old dog since she was 16 weeks old and there is no one we trust more to provide her medical care. From the very beginning Olive’s treatment has been of the highest quality and the mutual trust and relationship formed between vet and client has been extremely beneficial to Olive’s continued wellbeing. Even from our one appointment at Granta Veterinary Specialists, it was evident that animal welfare is their top priority. I can’t recommend them enough to anyone who needs the expertise of a specialist vet.

Every aspect of this veterinary referral centre is first-class, but the time, manner and evident love for animals came shining through. I so appreciated the time they gave to me, explaining the conditions and processes clearly. Their knowledge and professionalism was both reassuring and exemplary. The whole team communicated and kept me informed continuously.
I cannot recommend them more highly.
Thank you, Granta.

Just had the pleasure of having my pet treated at Granta Vets last week! I can honestly say that the vets and nurses at this practice provided her with the absolute best care and treated her as if she was their own. The vet was very dedicated, understanding and passionate towards finding and providing her with the best care possible, and the whole team really looked after her through day and night. I received daily updates and was given the time to talk through any and every option when it was necessary. My wife and I could not be more pleased. I recommend Granta Vets for any loved one!

I would highly recommend Granta Veterinary Specialists. The treatment our dog, Monty, received there was really excellent and the whole team were very professional yet also caring. Whilst Monty stayed with them I was kept updated at least once a day which really helped to put my mind at rest. He has recovered well from his operation and we are very thankful to Max and the team at Granta for all their help and hard work.

After initially being told there was nothing that could be done for our dog, following a swift change of vets, we were thankfully referred to Jane, Sara & the team at Granta.
From the initial consultation with Sara, we were given a realistic picture of Ted's condition, that his clinical presentation was unusual but that they would do everything to manage his condition pre-operatively to give him the best outcome on the day of surgery.
10 days later and Ted's tumour had shrunk to less than a third of its original size. Sara called at least three times during that period to check on how things were going and to adjust dosages & prescribe probiotics from our vet.
On the day of surgery Ted went in wagging his tail. Something he never ever does at a vets. He was brilliantly looked after overnight and when he came out in his surgical vest Jane showed us the scar & told us she was confident they had a good margin around the tumour. Jane gave us a thorough debrief of how to manage Ted post-operatively and she called nearly every day for a week, just to check in on him.
We have just received Ted's Histo results & are absolutely thrilled that they show he is currently cancer free, thanks to the skill & care provided by the whole team at Granta Vets.
I must also mention the lovely ladies on reception who took care of Ted's insurance claim for me. Thank you for taking away what could have been more stress at an already very stressful time.
From start to finish, our experience has been nothing but fantastic.

So thankful for the treatment that our dog Bean received. From the moment we walked in and met the fantastic reception team, to the care and knowledge of Max we knew instantly that we were in the right place and that our dog was in the best hands possible. Thank you all so much.
