Delighted with my Brompton conversion. It’s so good. Great performance and I’m whizzing up the hills. Pleased to keep my own bike that I’m very fond of after ten years of riding.

I've just become the proud owner of a bright yellow Abington. I wanted a very high quality British manufactured bike at a reasonable price. Many manufacturers exploit their UK heritage but then you find the frame and wheels are made in the far east - not ARCC who make the wheels in house as well as the Reynolds steel frame. The bike is really smooth to ride a benefit of the frame and carbon belt drive and although no lightweight it's nimble enough for me to enjoy the Box Hill route near my home. The quality is excellent and I enjoyed the acquisition process incuding a test drive in Cambridge - all the staff are friendly and knowledgable...

I'm very pleased with my ARCC modified Moulton. I'm old and it enables me to keep cycling which I'd not be able to do without an electrical boost. I like especially the choice of extra power it gives me, I use only a third and that's fine. The only downside is that the bike is so desirable that I have to have it under my eye all the time. That's more a comment on us than the bike but it's a nuisance. It cost a lot but I'm glad to have it.

I have the good fortune to own two ARCC Moulton bicycles. The first I bought from its first owner who had the bike built to order by ARCC. It is a TSR 11 speed Alfin with dropped bars. The only things I have done to it are changes to suit me. For example a Brooks saddle, cycle computer (wired type because wireless was affected by the Comms between the power controller and the motor), lights, bell and new bar tape.
The second one is a TSR 8 speed Sturmey Archer with flat bars, gear change altered to a two trigger thumb change. This one I bought as a standard bike from its original owner and I asked ARCC to convert it to an electric bike. They did a first class job and thoroughly checked everything else on the bike in the process, notably the gears, brakes and suspension. The outcome was a virtually new bike. The changes I have made are the same as the first one saving Ergo bar grips instead of tape.
Both bikes are a delight to ride and the sophistication of the power train is outstanding for its smoothness and delicate control.
Very pleased with both bikes. By no means a cheap way into electric bikes but I believe a refined one.
The Bosch 36v power tool batteries are available at reduced prices if you shop around and come with a good guarantee provided you register them with Bosch. They provide a 35 mile plus range in general use and of course you can carry a spare in the clip provided if you are going further afield.
All in all a rewarding and enjoyable product and ARCC are a ready source of advice if required.
Highly recommended for road and cycle track use.

Bought an ARCC Moulton TSR conversion and I'm delighted with it. Very nice bike to ride, fast and comfortable even though a bit heaver than a standard bike. ARCC service is excellent even when I had a problem with one of the batteries - but that's a third-party product. More recently I've started taking it more off-road using public byeways which give a more interesting set of rides - not something I would have done with my previous road bike but the Moulton copes well and the electric assistance is also welcome. Overall the ARCC Moulton TSR Electric is highly recommended!

I purchased the ARCC conversion kit in 2018 and have been extremely happy since day one. The power delivery is smooth and the duration of power is good and can be extended buy adjusting the assistance level. I have been able to purchase a number of the Bosch 6ah batteries which have a 3 year guarantee from Bosch (They have already replaced frre of charge). I have only needed support from ARCC on a couple of occasions and the service has been exemplary, on both occasions they have gone far beyond the minimum required to ensure the best experience to be had from the bike. I give an unreserved recommendation to a great product from a serious and service focussed company - Philip Myers

Both my wife purchased ARCC bikes directly from ARCC. The bikes, an electric Abington and a electric Moulton TSR. The bikes have been fantastic to date with no issues other than the usual bike adjustments as the miles are added. Electric assist starts from traffic lights are a boon. For longer rides a second battery especially if you have the 4ah and our a “heavy rider” and like maximum assistance. But one level power a 4ah battery should be good for 5 hours with gentle inclines.

Absolutely adore my ARCC-converted Brompton. The team were a joy to engage with - even going so far as to pick me up from the local train station when the Brommie was due its initial service. I wholeheartedly recommend ARCC to everyone!

ARCC Brompton Electric Bike.

Excellent bike converted to electric bike by ARCC. The electric motor and controls are great and function flawlessly. The bike has worked well the electric motor assistance is smooth and easily controlled. Extra or replacement batteries are readily available and reasonably priced. Superb service from ARCC both on the conversion and service.

I cannot praise ARCC bikes highly enough. I went to their manufacturing plant, near Cambridge, which is a bit of engineers dream. After a chat and a test drive of their innovative electric drive, which is the best I have tried, we spec'd a bike. They custom built on a Moulton TSR frame, they had all the frame colours in stock. There is a 52 week delay at the moment at many other dealers. I discussed with the really knowledgeable staff the right set of components for my needs and we designed the bike. They built it for me in a matter of days and delivered it when complete. Ten out of ten.

I've had my Airnimal Joey for several years and love everything about it - the comfort, the practicality, the foldability for transport. Whenever I go away, Joey comes too. What I was finding didn't suit me so well was long distances and hills. Enter ARCC.
The great thing about the ARCC system is that I am still in control. I turn the power on as and when I need it, so I can still ride unassisted to challenge myself and get the exercise but use the assistance on hills that I might have found myself walking up. Another great thing about the ARCC is its sensitivity which responds precisely to match battery power to my pedalling effort. By having the help on the hard bits, the distances look after themselves. And the option is still there to use the power more, and more often as I get older. All is managed by the unobtrusive and easy to use (and easily removable for security at the cafe stop) Bluetooth controller on the handlebars.
The best thing of all - apart from extending my cycling life - is that while Joey has put on a bit of weight (haven't we all?) he remains as comfortable and transportable as ever, just more practical.

Great bikes and great control system. I love the Moulton, it's really comfortable, and the Launch Control feature is amazing. I'm just recovering from an operation and find it really hard to get started on hills. But with Launch Control, it gets the bike going for you.

We had a problem with one of our retro-fitted Bromptons. It went back to ARCC, via Velorution, and they sorted it out promptly. We did not get a comprehensive user manual and we had to resort to Google to find out more about how to get the best out of the motor. Also, I had to talk to an ARCC technician when the Bluetooth console was not connecting with the battery bracket. So, some sort of comprehensive handbook would be useful.

I have covered 1000Km on my TSR.
When it arrived it was the best packed bike I have ever seen. I have the 11 speed Alfine which is superb.
Clear instructions, everything working as it should.
Ride wise it is sporty with quick handling.
No issues with the electrics, it defiantly loosens up and becomes smother after a run in period.
If anything getting used to the Moulton is more challenging, and am still building up to removing the wheels.

I’ve been using the ARCC for 300km in 2 weeks so far, and it is flawless! It doesn’t feel flimsy as DIY kits out there!

An excellent conversion of my Moulton which I have been running for a few years now. There was a glitch last year with the control into which was quickly fixed for free and I am still commuting happily with the bike. I am also running all sorts of errands on the bike where I used to use the car but not breaking a sweat even in the summer.

Very disappointed with this conversion. Had two Bromptons converted and the bluetooth controller is extremely erratic on both The previous bikes {which had been stolen) had a different and totally reliable system.
One would have expected commensurate reliability from the considerable, eye watering expense of the ARCC system

UPDATE
The bluetooth problem was solved by trial and error, rather than the instructions. Thereafter it worked like a dream with no problems and the bikes are fantastic.
However the Bosch charger was found to be defective ( not ARCC's fault) but they shipped one out to our campsite in France at no cost. Wonderful customer service
