KingsGate Community Church

I spent my all years as a student at this church and It is absolutely amazing! The teaching here is exceptional, the pastors and leaders are really blessed and talented, and clearly have a heart for God. The church is extremely welcoming and friendly and they have created a great community.

Kingsgate Cambridge is such a warm and friendly place to worship God. As a student, the student ministry is a place of transparency where friendships go beyond Sunday mornings and can be formed across different ages in the church. There are many people from different walks of life, and you really feel loved and encouraged to continue deepening your Christian faith through questions, testimonies and studies of the Bible.

KingsGate in Cambridge is a wonderful church with an amazing, close-knit student community. From my first time coming as a student I've felt welcomed, valued, supported, and encouraged to go deeper in my faith and walk with God. Would highly recommend!

This church became a home away from home while I was at university. The teaching is always spot on and the worship is high quality. It is a family with a massive mix of people.

Came here on my second ever Sunday in Cambridge, and I am still going 4 years later! I was super nervous but I was welcomed with open arms and felt like I was part of the family very quickly. The worship is amazing and spirit-filled and the word is Bible-based and full of wisdom and truth. It has been a home away from home for me whilst I have been a student and I would encourage anyone looking for a church to give it a try!

The worship is excellent and anointed, the teaching is biblically sound and the church’s servant heart for the community in Cambridge is faith put into purest action. If you are looking for a church home with tons of friendly people that seek God’s presence - I can highly recommend!

Very friendly, great worship, excellent Bible based teaching, multi-generational and multi-cultural. It's great to see so many of the worshippers involved in the running of the services. Truly a family atmosphere. I feel so loved when I'm there.

My husband and I moved to Cambridge earlier this year and had a hard time finding a church that felt welcoming and genuine. After our first time at Kingsgate, we knew we wanted to start attending and make it our home church. The community and bond with the other believers is so present. There is a ton of diversity, and Kingsgate has so many projects to pour into the local community with. We have loved our experience so far and cannot wait to continue serving Jesus alongside the other members of Kingsgate.

I highly recommend Kingsgate Church to any Cambridge students! I have just graduated with a music undergrad degree and am immensely grateful for all the fellowship, encouragement, wise teaching, and growth they have provided me with over my three years in Cambridge. They have encouraged and equipped me to serve and have grown my spiritual gifts as well as my capacity to lead others well.

I particularly value the freedom in worship they provide, with no judgement on the particular ways you choose to worship. Most importantly though, teaching and sharing the Gospel is their number one priority. Kingsgate Cambridge, with its integrated student population and inter-generational local population, has been an anchor for me through difficult times providing love, accountability, prayer, and Bible teaching where I have needed it most.

In a city that seems to have no time for anything else, it was the time that pastor Chris Sharman made for me, a then timid new fresher, that made me feel at home, feel valued, and feel that there would be a family in Cambridge that modelled and shared the Kingdom with others.

I thoroughly recommend Kingsgate Cambridge to anyone in Cambridge but also to any students looking for a church to call home away from home.

The people at the church are very welcoming and hospitable. It was amazing just how fast we got integrated into the life of the church. Also would highly recommend attending a life group, it’s a great weekly event where you share food and life. Very happy - it’s an awesome church!

Such a wonderful welcoming church with amazing Bible centered teaching at their core! In my time here I've felt so encouraged to grow in my relationship with God and have met some lovely people.

Really solid church - Jesus at the centre, preaching is very Biblical, community is welcoming and joyful. Also a great mix of ages and extra groups/activities throughout the week if you want. I really look forward to every Kingsgate event in my week. :)

KingsGate was the first church I tried out when I moved to Cambridge and was a student, and seven years later I haven't left. There is such a warm family feel, with people from all generations and nationalities - students and residents.

Kingsgate has been a fantastic church to be a part of during my time as a student in Cambridge. If you want a church where you can grow in your faith and be a part of meaningful, authentic community then this church is for you.

KingsGate is a very welcoming community with a wonderful focus on discovering and living out the Christian faith in a very practical way with a heart for making their presence felt within Cambridge by helping out in the city through various community action programmes.
