Neil has to be one of the best guitar teachers around! I've been having lessons with Neil 3 months now and cannot believe how far I have come in such a short space of time. We have been focusing on flat picking and finger style, covering a wide range of music genres and at the same time improving my musical theory. Neil makes the lessons fun and engaging in a very relaxed environment. I cannot rate Neil highly enough and recommend him to anyone at any stage of their guitar playing ability.

So pleased I took the decision to have lessons with Neil and get back into the guitar after a long break. Experienced teacher who's been patient and skilled in understanding where I am and where I can go. Two months in and I'm making real progress!

Brilliant. Can’t recommend highly enough! I’d lost my way a little in teaching myself guitar and had plateaued for a few years before meeting Neil. Neil introduced me to fingerstyle and totally reinvigorated my love for learning guitar. Two years later I’m far more accomplished, with the view that there’s always so much more to get out of guitar and music as a whole. Totally transformed my approach to the subject. Neil has a great teaching style, offering guidance that I have not found in other teachers I’d worked with previously. Very knowledgable in many styles, so he has the viewpoint to be able to efficiently navigate you to accomplishing what you want to - from guitar, or music in general. You will not look back if you embark on a lesson plan - go for it!

For the past 5 years I have been having weekly guitar lessons with Neil. He has helped me develop greatly as both a player and a musician. He has pushed me to become a more versatile player by teaching me various styles of guitar, making me competent at fingerstyle, classical and electric guitar. Neil's lessons are truly mesmerising. Every lesson is filled with something I am yet to find out about music, whether that be a new technique, music theory or music history Neil really covers in great depth everything you need to know about guitar and music in general.

In addition he has shared with me his expert teaching knowledge which has resulted in me being able to teach music for a living, for which I am forever grateful.

After years (decades...) of attempting to teach myself and not getting much further than some basic songs with no knowledge of how the guitar worked Neil's teaching has been transformational. A great place to learn guitar. I have been taught by Neil and Jess for over six years and they have transformed the way I play guitar to enable me to perform in a variety of bands and genres including acoustic, rock, rock n' roll, blues and jazz. This has been achieved through taking me through a structured process of learning to play rhythm, scales for solos, reading and writing music. I am now confident to play in a range of styles and that is thanks to their patient and structured approach that includes a genuine enthusiasm for seeing their students develop. Thanks.

Probably the best thing that's happened to me in my musical life was meeting Neil, best teacher I've had by far. I'm doing three hour guitar lessons once a week, learning Fingerstyle and picking techniques for acoustic, and Jazz and Classical guitar, as well as just general musicianship. I've learnt a massive amount in the last month that I've been having lessons, can't reccomend it enough
