West Cambridge University Post Office

Consistently excellent service. Staff members are always very efficient, friendly, and helpful. We have needed a post office in this area for a long time, and now we really appreciate having this one!

Unlike the other reviews, I found the staff to be very friendly and accepting. I had a variety of parcels with a different method of posting each, and they happily posted them all for me.

This post office is a part of the West Hub building, and has its own entrance at the front, but it also opens out into the main building without having to go outside. It's part of a great little convenience store.

The three of us who were in line all had problems getting phone signal for showing barcodes (but could get it just outside), so just a heads-up to load any needed barcodes beforehand!

Coming from a different country, sometimes it's confusing to know what you need to send packages properly. I went in with many questions regarding what I needed to buy for my packages. The staff were extremely patient, helpful, and kind.

My first experience of this post office today. Extremely polite , helpful & efficient service. Friendly too. I would highly recommend them.

Shops open but post office is not. Large signs on the ground outside for the Post Office but none of those say its shut, only when you get to the door is there a notice.

Had an extremely disappointing experience with the staff here. I needed to mail some crucial documents to Germany from a research lab at Cambridge. I asked multiple times whether the stamps I had were enough or if I needed to buy more. The lady at the counter assured me they were sufficient, so I mailed the letters. Unfortunately, none of the 8 letters arrived. When I mailed something from a different post office (with new stamps), it arrived in just 3 days. This clearly shows that a significant error was made by the lady at this post office. Such a mistake is unacceptable considering the simplicity of the task. I firmly believe this branch needs a staff overhaul to prevent such issues in the future.

The staff here are extremely incapable - don't know how to input an address manually, think that a prepaid label does not exist in an electronic form, got totally wrong prices that are 5 times more expensive, have to make a 5-min call whenever an error message comes up in their system... For 4 parcels that we brought, only 1 was successfully posted after 30 min struggle. The other 3 were easily dealt with at another post office without difficulties.

Not functioning, no apparent plan for re-opening. Wasted 45 min of my time by not bothering to update their information.

Staff member on phone despite queue of people. No postage capabilities. Not really a post office is it?
