We chose strawberry shortcake to cater our wedding and we couldn't be happier. Every guest commented on how exceptional the food was! We loved the personal approach they took, allowing us to design our own menu and working with us to make sure we had our dream food on our wedding day. Thank you so much Scott and Kristy!

I was father of the bride at Gileston Manor near Barry. The food throughout the day was provided by Strawberry Shortcake Dining which included canapés, main meal and evening food.
Quite simply excellent! The staff were friendly and attentive to guests. The food throughout the day was tasty and well presented with more than enough food to fill anyone.
I would highly recommend this company for any special occasion.

Strawberry Shortcake catered for our wedding in April and a month down the line, now the rose tint is starting to fade from the day, we are still so, so happy with everything they did.

So often wedding food is lacklustre and underwhelming, but Strawberry Shortcake absolutely smashed it out the park in every respect.

From day one they were very supportive. We didn’t have much of an idea of what we wanted, so they gave us a couple of suggested menus and helped us tweak them to our liking (no set menus that you need to choose from here - you get what you want to eat).

On the day itself they made sure everything ran smoothly, ensuring people were in the right place at the right time, and adequately fed and watered.

The food itself was honestly fantastic. Non-pretentious, flavoursome, freshly prepared, and plentiful; it went above and beyond all expectations. The evening food was just as good as the main wedding breakfast. All dietary requirements were catered for, from vegetarians, to vegans, to cutting up food for people with mobility problems.

The father of the bride, who is normally a very fussy eater, produced three clean plates and had only good things to say about every one, and all our guests said how good the food was.

If you’re looking for a wedding caterer then I wholeheartedly recommend Strawberry Shortcake.

I have used Strawberry Shortcake Dining many times, and could not think of anyone else to use when hosting parties. They've hosted two weddings to name a few.

The food is simply delicious!

The staff are great, full of enthusiasm and are professional at all times. As a bespoke company, they will develop a menu based on your requirements. Scott also is excellent at recommending new and exciting dishes which are always a crowd pleaser.

We had a fantastic experience with SS on our wedding day. They were really organised and well prepared...everything ran smoothly and the food was outstanding.
Scott was brilliant at helping us articulate what we wanted from the menu and the whole team were positive, friendly and very well run. Kirsty was always a phone call or email away from solving any problems or answering any queries we had... all in all I couldn't recommend a better caterer.
We have also been to several weddings/events since our own wedding where SS have catered... again the food has always been delicious and operations have always ran smoothly from a guest perspective!

We used Strawberry Shortcake to cater for our wedding in early September. From start to finish, we couldn't fault them and would highly recommend the team.

In advance of the wedding, Gwenno and Scott were an absolute pleasure to deal with, responding promptly to all emails and providing some fantastic recommendations for our menu. When our original wedding was postponed from April due to Covid, the team took it in their stride and were extremely helpful and adaptable.

On the day itself, Scott, Kirsty, Gwenno and the team were absolutely brilliant and the food was exceptional. From the canapés to the cheese course, everything was absolutely delicious and impeccably presented. We will be recommending Strawberry Shortcake to all our family and friends!

SSD catered for our wedding a couple of weeks back. The food was magnificent and the feedback from guests has been extraordinary. The canapes were out of this world (and kept coming!) - it was a lovely touch to present the Groom and I with our own tray. Each course was delicious in its own right. SSD told me that the sharing desserts added a WOW factor - and they certainly delivered on that. The mini fish & chip cones during the evening party were a welcome addition and a fabulous end to what was a lovely day. Both ourselves and our guests were blown away by the quality of the produce and the execution - nobody went hungry; there was plenty of everything to ensure that even the most ferocious appetite was fully sated. A big shout out to Scott and his team of chefs - so thankful to have had you on board!

A HUGE thank you goes out to the rest of the team too - special thanks to Gwenno for managing the logistics and for putting up with my constant toing & froing over the past 12 months and keeping me calm when anxiety was kicking in; and a well deserved thank you goes to the service team on the actual day who were absolutely awesome - you were all so friendly, approachable and accommodating - nothing was too much trouble - and you made the day flow with ease.

This outfit is first class and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for catering - you should actually feel blessed and thank your lucky stars if you manage to secure their services as you are in for a real treat!

AMAZING!! We used Strawberry Shortcake for our marquee wedding and they delivered above and beyond our expectations. The whole experience was personable and professional. Scott was open to all of our menu ideas and worked with us to design a perfect wedding reception. The chef team are so talented! Our guests are still talking about the food to this day - they said it was more like a fabulous restaurant meal rather than a mass-catered wedding! Kirsty and her team are top class in wedding delivery and her eye for detail, styling and presentation was flawless. We were able to relax and enjoy our day, especially our canapes moment! The amount of feedback we’ve had about the food has been phenomenal, it was just incredible. The bar service was insanely good and Kirsty you kept me calm throughout the whole process. Gwenno was so helpful all the way through planning - responsive, accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. Scott was full of ideas for our menu, and is the most incredible chef.

The food tasting was a really special evening - we felt like we were having a meal in a restaurant.

So many guests have told us they were the best canapés they have had at a wedding - so beautifully presented, tasty and lots of them! The food was so delicious - all the plates were empty. The team kept wine glasses full through, were super friendly and attentive throughout the whole day.

Strawberry shortcake catered our wedding a couple of weeks ago. Honestly couldn’t recommend enough, the food was amazing, better than we could have ever imagined. Gwenno was really helpful throughout the process and always got back to emails quickly etc so no issues on that front.

Strawberry shortcake catered our wedding of 150 people. They were absolutely exceptional. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
From our first enquiry, to menu planning, to tasting, and then to the big day itself, they provided the most wonderful service and food. The team were a delight to work with. Gwenno, who communicated with us was always friendly, professional and timely in her replies. Head chef Scott totally got what we were after for our big day even after a brief chat. They were flexible for dietary requirements and allergies and they made it seem as though nothing was too much trouble.
I have lost count of the number of guests that said it was the best wedding food they had ever tasted. The service on the day was impeccable. I genuinely can't fault the whole experience. If we ever have another event to cater, I will go straight back to Strawberry Shortcake.

Strawberry Shortcake provided our wedding catering at Gileston Manor in May 2023. They were an absolute pleasure to deal with from the start. Gwenno was great at communicating and responding to us, and Scott created a beautiful menu for us. We wanted something quite specific and not a standard wedding menu, and they approached it as if they relished the challenge and really enjoyed getting creative. We felt totally involved and listened to. The end result was outstanding! All of our guests commented that the canapes and the main wedding feast were delicious. A few of them said it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding. I would love to go back and eat it all over a again! We honestly can't recommend them enough. Thank you Strawberry Shortcake :)

My husband and I chose Strawberry Shortcake for our wedding and we were beyond pleased. Everything about their service from the choice of food, flexibility in the menu, communication, to the food and service on the day itself was fantastic.

We also chose them for a BBQ that we hosted the day after our wedding and the food for this event was equally as fantastic. The recurring comment that we had from every one of our guests was how amazing the food was. They're a true joy to deal with and we couldn't recommend them enough!

We have finally had some time to sit down and write a review about how AMAZING this catering company is. It has been nearly two months since our wedding on the 28th May and our guests still talk about how delicious the food was on the day.

Strawberry Shortcake provided a 5* service from start to finish. We had a beautiful range of arrival canapés to welcome our guests (the miso pork belly was delicious and a firm favourite amongst guests). We opted for plated starters and desserts and a communal main. We were fortunate enough to have beautiful weather on the day and the sharing style salads that accompanied our chicken and beef worked perfectly. They were colourful, fresh and very tasty. There was plenty of food for everyone and also excellent choices for our vegetarian guests too. In the evening our guests enjoyed a Welsh cheeseboard and pulled pork filled rolls with fries and coleslaw.

As well as providing the perfect wedding food, the service provided by the staff was exceptional. Scott, Gwenno and the team went out of their way to make sure that everyone’s needs were catered for. We cannot thank them enough for helping to make our day run as smoothly as possible.

The Strawberry Shortcake team was brilliant from the very start. They listened to our food ideas and put forward some incredible menu options, and throughout preparation for the wedding they put us at ease. The day itself was seamless, and the team were amazingly professional, patient, and attentive. The food was tastier than we could have imagined, and the on-site staff went the extra mile to make sure the day ran smoothly. 10/10 for everything!

The canapes were so unique and visually impressive, they looked really classy. The wedding breakfast was served directly to each guest without some of the confusion you sometimes get at weddings - who ordered what etc.. All the courses were of a good size and tasted amazing! We opted for the plated meals as there was still some uncertainty with the Covid regulations at the time but I could imagine all of the meals working well as sharer plates, as our shared salads were really good and added to each of the meal options.

We received feedback from many of our guests that it was the best wedding food they had ever had. In particular our vegetarian and vegan guests were really impressed with their options (although we made this a priority when drawing up the menu with Scott who was great!).

Speaking of the staff every member of strawberry shortcake we interacted with were both very professional whilst still being approachable and would help in any way they could. Gwenno was always on hand to answer any of our queries when organising the catering for our day - which was particularly challenging with the constantly changing Covid rules in the lead up to our day. Scott was great when putting together our menu and carefully included all of our requests and preferences when suggesting a variety of different options completely from scratch!

We would recommend Strawberry Shortcake to anyone looking to cater for an event where the food is an important part of the day, you will not be disappointed!
