Catharine House by condokeeper

Had a great experience with Jb apartments. I spoke with a very kind lady named Nicole who gave me all information regarding my stay. The apartment itself was finished to a great standard and was also very clean! Everything was already here, ie cooking equipment, tea, coffee, we just had to supply food. Netflix was on the tv. Couldn't be happier with my stay! If you were planing a long stay here, there are facilities for washing a drying clothing in the apartment too. What more could you ask for 😊

I work with directors from the condokeeper company, they have some very well organized apartments and a perfect design and the staff is very honest, it's a pleasure to work with them and all apartment is very clean I’m recommended to everyone have enjoyed on her place !

Lovely apartment in a great location! Very clean! Spoken to a lady on admin teamn for access information she was nice and polite.

Only downside the flat above us was very loud! kept us up until 3.30 in the morning!

The flat is little but cozy, is near the train station and the center, has a good location. Was very clean.

Excellent place to stay in Cambridge, in a convenient area of town with nice coffee shops and small restaurants, away from the tourist crowds.
I recommend for cleanliness, all equipment apartment with kitchen, etc.

Our thoughts of the Catherine House were initially very nice, however, some shortcomings did not allow for a 5-star Review.

The accommodations were very inviting, and very clean The secure feeling we felt while there, the area of which this is located along with the many choices of places to go to (boutique shops, grocery, and pubs) were excellent. Additionally, the location offered a nice change if you were not wanting to continually be near the busy heart of the City Centre; which was also a very cool place to visit.

The downside to the Catherine House was:

1. the advertised TV would make one think there is a vast array of channels to choose from while relaxing, maybe a News channel, Sports Channel (BBC. ITV, SKY or BT Sports). However, this was not to be as the TV was set up for App-Based TV 9 (and to be fair this would have worked had the TV not frozen each time we attempted to use it). It was a good thing the WI-FI worked well, for we had our cell phones and notepads to make up for this.

2. The Rules for staying here seem to be quite draconian. For instance; if we were to want to wash our towels it would cost us an extra fee as the explanation was these towels (including the bed linen were of high quality). We were not impressed by this or the quality as the linens and towels seem to be of the same quality one would get at an IKEA Store.

Additionally, the rules for being 100% sure to separate the garbage. If you fail to do so there is an extra fee.

The rules for washing all the dishware and flatware items, and failure to do so would be an extra fee.

Plainly put, we get the fact that the Catharine House Owner(s) wish to keep their place Clean. However, when people come to stay and pay a fee for staying, the last thing they need to be worried about is doing chores (while on Holiday).

So, our thoughts on the Catharine House were very nice, but, taking into consideration (do this or else), means that we will not be returning to this or any other property owned by The CondoKeeper's.

Holidays are supposed to be as stress-free as possible; the feeling of being shaken-down for extra fees is not the way to treat your guests.

We arrived at the property and couldn't gain access, during the day we emailed state the late arrival, no response. Upon arrival calls and messages sent had been unanswered, waited a while for someone to respond with the access codes. The studio apartment was lovely once we settled in, although temperature in the room couldn't be changed and the TV wasn't that great (smart TV with WiFi but difficult to amend channels and apps due to internet signal)

Feel like renting with at anoying landlord, without the legal support of a real tenancy agreement. Location is good, but there wasn’t a single day during my stay I didn’t get a message from them. They charge you £50 for cleaning service (I wonder for what, clearly not for cleaning the dust in the plastic flowers), plus £200 (yes, £200! I doubt that’s even legal) in case you, I don’t know, forget to take the bin out or something. At the same time they ask you to take the bin and wash the dishes, with threats of not returning your full deposit if you don’t. I had multiple messages saying the landlord had to enter in the flat, sometimes at 1am (so unlike a real tenancy agreement, no 24-hour notice). The shower is an electric shower so there’s no water pressure at all, and the taps don’t run properly. You can’t turn the heating higher than 22 degrees, which isn’t ideal when you have a cold and a sore throat. Overall, impossible to have a relax stay and disconnect from the email while in there.

I booked a Studio with Condokeeper on 2 occasions in Oct & Dec 2022. Overall my booking extended for more than 40 days totally.
The Room was largely comfortable in terms of amenities and I would have rated them 5star EXCEPT for the unprofessional behavior and very distasteful communication by their Ms Bianca supposedly a partner in the business.
She is arrogant, crude and has no clue of the hospitality business customer centric communication.
There is no housekeeping service even for a long stay. I had to continuously keep asking for it ( things like toilet paper and change of bed linen and vacuuming the space ) and they were behaving as though they are doing me a BIG favor. THIS should have been mentioned at the time of booking.
The heating is controlled remotely by the landlord and we struggled with freezing temperatures in Dec . We had no control
On the thermostat settings .
They said the property has free parking which is untrue ( it is actually street parking )
During my second stay this lady actually began to tell LIES about our stay, she twisted our words and made up stories of things which we never did and asked us to overnight vacate even. Even though we had paid full Advance on the stay.
We finally got so disgusted with her behavior and her partner Mr Dennis ( the other partner ) that we checked out early and even lost our £300/- which he said he will give us a credit note . WHICH HE NEVER DID .
PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH THESE TWO PEOPLE. They are not ethical in their business.
