Woodlands care centre, been there since 2009. Supportive Management, supportive teams around the home. The residents are fully supported with privacy, dignity , and respect. They are our family. We ensure they have endless fun 😁 Their days are kept active, engaging to each individuals needs and wishes. ( Our family)

I have to admit that being employed at woodlands Care Home was an extremely fulfilling experience. The collaborative and nurturing teamwork helps me advance my skills, with the care home management supporting employee welfare and growth through numerous learning and development opportunities. Woodlands Care Home is one of the best care home in Cambridge. I have been working here for almost one year. We have a good dedicated team, supportive and friendly colleagues. Residents are our priority and everyone is treated as our own family member.

I'm currently working for Woodlands Care Centre as a health care professional. This was my first real introduction to dementia after my grandmother came into Woodlands herself. When I came as a family member, I experienced such professionalism and kind staff. Now that I work here, it is unbelievably incredible the dedication given to family and staff. They make you feel welcome and really part of a team, alongside the connections you get to build with the families we support. It make everything we do personal cause we care about the people we see everyday we form bonds.

Myself and my brother feel very fortunate to have our Dad cared for at Woodlands . It upsets us greatly that his condition means we cannot care for him ourselves but Dads medical team with our support placed him in suitable supervised professional care . The staff are extremely friendly and listen to any concerns and worries we may have regarding our Dad . They are caring , the home is clean , and dad seems very comfortable and safe . They offer support and comfort to relatives as well as residents . Thank you .

I love the fact that there’s always an event going on and the carers are very caring and friendly. I found it a wrench not being able to look after my husband anymore but Woodlands is the next best thing so I take comfort that he is safe and being well looked after.

I am very pleased with the level of care my mother has received at Woodlands. The home has a nice atmosphere, is clean and is well-run, and the staff are both friendly, caring and extremely professional. The same staff are there now that were there when my mother arrived - which shows it is a stable environment where relationships can build and last. My mother has enjoyed her time at Woodlands, and is far happier there than I ever expected. I have no reservations in recommending Woodlands to anyone looking for a safe, reliable and friendly 'home from home' for their loved ones.

I'm working at Woodlands Care Centre from 2016. I felt supported in all this time and the the work environment is
pleasant during the time.

My dad has now been part of the woodlands family for the past 5 years & the care he has received there has been second to none. Although he has severe dementia, I can still see he is relaxed, comfortable & happy and has close relationships with all of the staff he has regular contact with. I am regularly updated with how he is doing & this is also visible when I have been able to visit or have video calls with him. The management & carers/nurses on his unit have always been approachable and are keen for feedback and input from the residents‘ families so we can work together to achieve the best positive outcomes for our loved ones. The team respect his feelings & wishes, never forcing him to do anything he doesn’t want to while ensuring he remains safe & healthy. I want to thank all the staff for their hard work, commitment & support provided to my dad and other residents in their care.

Every day is a beautiful journey where we make a positive difference to residents’ lives. I am so happy to be able to be part of such a wonderful team.
