Staff great here, I always get a hello from the majority of helpful staff. The few unhelpful ones don’t seem to last long. The Lidl plus app can be hit & miss here as there seems to be a tech issue in store. It’s a clean store and staff are always tidying shelves after inconsiderate shoppers that don’t care. Bakery always stocked well. A+

This is my local shop. Got everything you need from food to power tools . The staff are friendly and very helpful . Princess are great compared to some of the other local shops like co-op . Tesco .

Majority of visits to Lidl, are a pleasent, stress free experience. Now that self service tills take cash and card, payment is quick and easy.

Huge budget supermarket of the German variety. Very clean, up to date with seasonal items and alot of reduced prices for end of line summer items. One of the better Lidl I have visited, the carpark is also excellent and has an Electric car charging point.

Nice clean supermarket. Some shelves were a bit light on goods but to be expected as lack of lorry drivers. Other than that I had a very pleasurable shopping experience and was able to get everything I wanted. Need seating outside though for customers who rely on taxis as there is sometimes a long wait. UPDATED: 07/05/2022, They maybe Lidl on price but today they were Lidl on stock! No salad ingredients, very little in the way of fresh vegetables, empty shelves also in the chilled sections and a few empty compartments on the meat dept, plus only two checkouts open. Didn't see many staff members either, so maybe that could be the reason for empty shelves etc., Other than that, the store was clean as usual. UPDATED: 07/08/2022, shop was very busy but quite well stocked. Biggest problem.....only ONE checkout open! People were queuing down the aisles before another was opened up. The young lady served two customers then closed her checkout! Apparently less staff means that they can keep food prices down. After waiting over half an hour at the checkout before being served (I had a full trolley load so self serve was unviable) they will soon lose customers too!

A big shout out to the store today and Fabio the Manager for sending out a couple of their staff to clean up the litter strewn around their site before it ends up in the sea. Litter left by others or blown across off Chesil Beach not as a result of anything Lidl are doing/not doing so thank you for caring. On behalf of Weymouth and Portland Marine Litter Project CIC

Went in for water. Came out with water.

BUT it was the best priced water in the world. The price was a grand total of 36p. This exceptionally low price would make you purchase such a fantastic item immediately.

BUT there's more. Can you guess what volume the water was?? 2 litres. This absolutely blew my mind. The fact that you could get such a great volume of water for only 36p would make you scratch your head at how this was possible.

SO you must be thinking that this water was the worst warm, dirty and tasteless water to grace the Earth. But no. This water was so delicious, so mouth watering, so incredible that no other water could ever match the sheer brilliance of this water.

Overall, I would give my Lidl experience 11/10, and days later, the thought of that majestic 36p water is stuck in my mind. Mind-blowing. What a place to go.

What a difference people make. My wife and I were visiting the nearby Marina. We walked to the store to buy much needed provisions. Neither of us had a pound coin for the trolley. I went into the shop and asked the first employee I found. I am sorry to say that the lady I spoke to was unfriendly and unhelpful to the point of being rude. I didn't get a solution. I then asked a young man who could not have been more pleasant and helpful. he changed a £10 note for me in no time at one of the empty tills. I really think from first speaking to him to me having the coins in my hand took less that 3 minutes. I believe the young man was called Aaron Pitman. Thank you Aaron you were a credit to both your self and your employer. What a difference a person makes...

This fairly new Lidl on the Beach Road at Portland is lovely and clean. They sell a wide range of food. It has the usual miscellaneous items along the middle aisle. The plants I have bought there have been very good quality. It's often quiet, so a good place if you don't like crowded shops.

Everything as expected and no issues. Big carpark, easy to access. Completely level entrance and all on one floor, if you have a wheelchair or pram.
This store is an exact clone of the Witham branch in Essex. It's a format that works well, spacious enough with a good range of goods.

Located in the shadow of Chisel beach and on the very northerly tip of Portland. The carpark is full of flood warnings and disclaimers.
