This is my first time using Activ8 Live and I have been impressed with the communication level from the start. Value for money and they have sent me 4 amazing staffs that help me during 140 wedding service. Staffs were polite, easy to work with and nicely dressed. Thank you very much and highly recommended!

Terrific service! The pre-party communication was pretty clear and efficient and Arthur and Clayton turned up bang on time. They performed admirably, greeting guests with a drink, replenishing food from the fridge and oven, collecting and washing discarded glasses, topping up guests' glasses, disposing of empty bottles etc etc . They engaged well with guests, were smiley, helpful and polite and, although they were working pretty hard for most of the four or five hours they were there, they seemed to enjoy themselves. Never got the feeling they were clockwatching and dying to get away! Thanks so much!

We booked 4 waiting staff for our wedding. Only 3 of the staff turned up, and the company said that they would send a replacement but they didn't arrive. That being said, the 3 waiting staff that did turn up worked really hard. They made a real effort to get through all of the tasks and were friendly, smart and helpful. One of the waiting staff in particular, was very good at remembering what people were drinking and topping up their drinks as required.

We had booked and paid for the staff to stay for an extra hour at the end of the night. However, they did not - which meant that there was quite a lot of extra clearing up to do. However, considering how hard they worked during the day to get all of the work done with a smaller team, we were still impressed with them overall.

For our wedding at Thorner Victory Hall on July 30th, we paid Activ8 Live £99 to find us three trained and experienced to run the bar and clear away drinks. Guests were arriving from 4pm, so we asked for the three bar staff to arrive at 3pm.

One staff member did not turn up and despite calling their 24/7 helpline Activ8 Live were unable to source a reserve, despite this being something they promised when we paid them. Another staff member was over 2 hours late. This meant that we had one staff member to serve guests at the start of the wedding, which caused unnecessary stress.

The event planner described the late-arriving staff member as being completely inadequate when he arrived; requiring constant supervision and direction, regular reminders to serve guests who were waiting at the bar and was, on more than one occasion, found chatting to catering staff or on his phone when guests were waiting to be served at the bar.

The staff member who did turn up on time was polite and hard working, but did not have much experience of running a bar (which is what we asked Activ8 Live to provide).

This meant that, in order to prevent the bar from reaching a complete standstill, my groomsmen had to jump behind the bar and serve drinks to guests - when they should have been enjoying their evening. Even the mother of the bride had to clear away glasses.

Activ8 Live's failure to deliver on their promises had a serious effect on our ability to run the bar at our wedding - and it would not have been possible without the help of several guests.

Due to Activ8 Live's failure to deliver on their promises, we think that the least we deserve is to be refunded all of the £99 agency fee that we paid to Activ8 Live. So far, we have received £33 for the staff member who didn't turn up and £7 (!) for the staff member who was over 2 hours late and was completely inadequate and unprofessional when they arrived.

Based on our experiences, we would not recommend Activ8Live to anyone else.

We hired (re. response below - under my father in law's name, not under mine) two catering staff for our wedding from activ8, and neither arrived on the day of the event. No communication regarding this was received until 48 hours afterwards.
