The Healthy Pet Shop Teignmouth

I've been buying goods from this shop over the past 6 years. The staff are great - and knowledgeable - and their goods are brilliant. I now make a point not to shop online for almost all my dog products. This is a super place and deserves all the support that we can give. Forget eBay and Amazon - shop here !!

I asked Jo for her advice when my Boston was having monthly seizures. Jo recommended a white fish diet and a couple of drops of Milk thistle daily that was back in November and my dog has been seizure free since. I can’t thank Jo enough for the advice and have to say she’s always willing to help with any problems no matter how trivial they seem. Thanks again Jo.

The healthy pet shop is a lovely local shop in Teignmouth, with staff who are friendly and always happy to see you. They give AMAZING advice on looking after your pet. I had gone in for advice on my dog, when she was reacting to the food she was eating and they recommended a completely different diet for my dog. I am pleased to say, it completely worked, and her symptoms are gone with the help of the healthy pet shop. They also sell amazing food for our pets. My dog loves the treats especially. :)

Found this shop via Google and they were very helpful. We purchased a gencon all on one collar/lead following their advice and it helped with our pulling golden retriever straight away. Thankyou.

The most amazing pet shop that we have ever visited. Such lovely staff, really clean and so well stocked. So many great products to choose from and such high quality treats. Highly recommend a visit. Our pooch just loves visiting as well to happily pick a few of his favourites, thank you for such a great local pet service and great products to choose from. We love shopping indie and from a small biz too!

Having found this shop on google we visited the shop today, it was everything people had said and more lovely stocked shop full of goodies for our 4 rescue dogs! The 2 ladies who served us were kind friendly and very approachable.

Went it a few weeks ago in need for new stuff for my hamsters. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. Shop has pretty much everything you'd need to top up for your furry friends. Got their loyalty card too as I'm planning to make this my usual go to (instead of pets at home).

Jo and Dawn have a wealth of knowledge about your pet. They will listen and advise. If you have a problem with your pet, what ever it is go see Jo or Dawn I am sure they will be able to help
They have helped us many times with the dogs we have had. I would recommend them to anyone with a pet.

The BEST pet shop!!! Jo is super knowledgeable about her products and has vast experience in the pet industry. Jo and her team are very welcoming, friendly and patient. They gave me great advice on lots of things such as nutrition, behaviour and training. As first time dog owner this is brilliant! Will definitely be coming back! First time owning a puppy and these guys have been more informative than our vets! The loveliest people to speak with and super knowledgeable, answered lots of questions without making me feel like a burden and made recommendations without pushing sales which was very refreshing. Will be purchasing all our dogs food from this fab little shop for the foreseeable.

What a wonderful shop this is. I came in here because my Labrador pup was pulling terribly on his lead. The lovely ladies in the shop recommended a gen con lead. Fitted him up for it showed me how to put it on. One of the ladies came a short walk with me to make sure I was using it correctly. It solved the pulling problem. What great service from the 3 most helpful ladies in the shop. Thanks again saved our holiday

Wow these ladies are amazing, recently had vomiting issues with my dog that weren't going away. So they talked me through our daily food routine and made some suggestions to change her diet, and at the moment fingers crossed over a week now the vomiting has stopped. I would like to thank all of the staff for your attention to detail and patience, and spending time with us to overcome the problem. slowly we move on under your guidance. many thanks Martin and Ruby

This shop is a prime example of why I love local businesses. For the last 2 years, I've had my dog food delivered by Tails. However, I have just moved to Teignmouth and stumbled across this little pet shop so thought I'd be nosey and have a look.
I got chatting to one of the ladies (I think she was the owner) and she was extremely knowledgeable about all of her products. She was nice and honest about which products were good for my dog and also advised me to stay away from certain products.
She took the time to teach me about why dog food is made in different shapes and why different breeds have different needs.
I have now found a new food for my French Bulldog however there was none in stock last time I went in to get some :(

We are away on holiday and my dog is poorly with diarrhoea due to being on steroids..was advised by the vets to get a probiotic…Both the ladies were so helpful with which one was best and advised on other foods to give my boy…Thank you so much for the advice and tips and for taking the time to chat with me and my partner.

Dropped in today to buy perfect fit harnesses for my 2 dogs. Staff were very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. We were very well looked after and my nervous dog was treated with kindness and patience. Highly recommend this pet store!

A very good range of products are available.

Though may has seen a price rise on many many items but that is understandable in todays climate of increasing costs.

Definitely seek out this per shop when you are in Teignmouth it's well worth a visit for your pet of choice.

The staff here are so friendly and knowledgeable, they helped us to diagnose our dog's allergies and offered us plenty of advice on which foods and treats to feed. They stock a huge variety of treats and foods, and toys too! And all the other goodies your pet could wish for (beds, bowls, collars, name tags, coats, etc). We only have a dog so I don't look much at the other pet things, however there is lots for cats, as well as birds, rabbits etc. (Please note that this shop does not sell animals!)
Updated April 2022: we no longer live in Teignmouth, however we still continue to come back especially for this shop! Such a fantastic selection of treats and toys, my dog loves it here 🐾 I also get bird food for my feeders in the garden from here too. Staff are wonderful, they really know their stuff and are always happy to help, couldn't ask for better.

Fantastic shop! Great range of toys, treats, and food - despite being a small shop - with something for everyone. Visiting 4-leggeds are given lots of attention and made to feel special, staff are welcoming to all and very knowledgeable. A local gem.

This is a great Shop. Jo and her staff are all really helpful, friendly and really knowledgeable.They sell a great selection of products especially for owners like us who have a dog with allergies. This is our first dog and it was Jo who suggested our dogs problems could be allergies(our vet confirmed this) and to try her on a better diet. They even stock a wide range of healthy treats our dog can eat. Jo has given us loads of help, advice(including meals I can make myself from supermarket value range) and support and even allergy tested our dogs fur for free. Our dog is looking so much better and I can't thank Jo enough. I recommend any pet owner to visit.
