Lovely place but! As much as you may be tempted to go up there at night to view stars (or in my case northern lights!) wear good walking boots and beware the rabbit holes! I tripped and broke an ankle so appropriate footwear is a must, especially at night 😂

A nice peaceful place to walk around and spend your time with your loved ones. The view from the monument, the wind and the beauty of the woods will be a good combo to enjoy your evening.

Perched atop the Hampshire hills, the Farley Mount Monument has breathtaking views of the Hampshire countryside all the way to the Solent. Winter days bring a biting wind, reminding us of nature's power. Yet, during balmy evenings, the place transforms into a serene haven. The setting sun paints the sky with vibrant colors, creating a symphony of peace. Amidst the simplicity of existence, the monument stands as a testament to human resilience. It humbles us and reminds us to cherish nature's beauty. Farley Mount is a silent witness to time, inviting us to pause, reflect, and appreciate the wonders around us. It's a sanctuary for solace and a glimpse of eternity.

Lovely area for great walking with fantastic views, you can even see Southampton docks from the monument!! But note there are no facilities at all. From the small carpark it's about a 5 minute walk. One weird thing that will effect very few is the fact you get no WiFi as I found out with my two drones, phone signal fine, 4G is fine as is GPS very strange???

Lovely place for a walk. Went along the ridge and back through Parnholt. About 5 miles of easy walking.

Fantastic 360 deg view on a beautiful countriside. Easily reached (too easily perhaps). Currently scaffolded. Which is handy because you can climb to the top for a perfect view. Or actually no - you're not supposed to.

Good views from this bizarre edifice, take some binos, you can see the coast. Nearby the woods are glorious with bluebells ( stay on the path)

I'd never heard of this monument until a couple of weeks ago,it was erected in the 17hundreds in memory of a famous race horse if you are looking for a beutiful country walk in the sunshine this is one for you there is a large car park and plenty of routes to choose, take in the monument on the way, it is on a raised hill with far reaching views.

There is absolutely an amazing vista of green fields, hill valleys and woods.. you can even recognize the views of Winchester far away!
Very peaceful and calm place, it is worth going over and enjoying, and that's important - you could let yourself be alone because of no people around)))😄 - only bird’s hymns )))

Had a really nice bike ride up to the monument, weather was great and visibility was excellent 👌👍 this meant the views from the mount were fantastic! There's plenty of space, well positioned benches to enjoy the views and on a good day, wow, the views are well worth the trip up to the top :-)
