Love this place. Visited Mother’s Day, it was extremely busy as you can imagine on this day (seated upstairs) Had 2 of the specials which we both really enjoyed , selection of desserts is very big making it difficult to decide. Would recommend a visit off the beaten track. Only gave a 4 for service as when booking advised we had the table for 2 hours and given that it was so busy we only received our desserts 15 mins before we had to vacate our table. Will be going again for sure.

Our menu offers a selection of light lunches, baked potatoes, paninis and salad platters. We have soup of the day made in our own kitchen as well as a specials board with more hearty meals.
If you are hosting an event, we now also provide a buffet selection – full details here
We have a range of carefully selected coffees including cappuccino, espresso, latte, hot chocolate as well as fine teas including fruit and herb. We also have milk shake, ice cream floats and a selection of soft drinks.

Absolutely love this place. What a find! Sat on the little hillock next to the stream and the dovecote. What a lovely place to savour the delights of their delicious and substantial ploughman's lunch. Can't recommend Light Ash Farm and Cafe more highly!

My friend treated me to the festive afternoon tea for my birthday.

Oml it was amazing you get loads for your money. There were chicken and stuffing sandwiches, ham sandwiches, breaded brie bites, pigs in blankets, mini mince pies, orange cake, chocolate Christmas trees, and scones.

You also get bottomless drinks if you select a normal coffee or tea.

Absolutely fab will definitely be back

Went on spec with my daughter. Was very pleasantly surprised, not what I was expecting at all. Very nice dining room, staff were excellent, friendly and genuinely smiley. Food was top notch - I had a chicken and stuffing “door stop” sandwich. My daughter had a Cajun chicken and brie wrap. Absolutely no complaints. We bought cake to take away too. Great value for what we had.

Only popped out for cake and a brew, ended up having dinner. The Yorkshire Pudding Wrap was lovely, lots of Beef cooked perfectly and the Loaded Fries with Sweet Chilli Crispy Shredded Beef, top notch.
Staff couldn’t do enough for you, making sure everything was as it should be and you get to look at all the amazing looking afternoon teas coming out while you wait.

Booked in for afternoon tea. It was excellent. All freshly prepared and the sandwiches were great. This place restored my faith in afternoon tea after several bad experiences at other venues. Looking forward to returning and try their breakfast and lunch items.

Went for a birthday party.
Generous portions. Not often we leave with a pack up!
Definitely good value! Perhaps would prefer a bit more savoury though?

Busy Sunday afternoon tea. Quieter sitting outside than indoors. Food was great. Service could be quicker but not bad. There was a baby shower at the same time which probably affected our order. Will definitely be back.

A hidden gem, but not so hidden as to stop it being full and bustling on the Saturday afternoon we visited. Despite it being busy, service was friendly and fast. Afternoon tea for 2 kept us fed for a day and a half!

Huge portions and delirious fresh meals. Even serve Gluten free. Or just pop in for a piece of a massive variety of cakes and have a coffee. Highly recommend this little gem. Good prices considering the size of meals. Nice little farm shop full of goodies to.

Friendly farm cafe. Inside and outside dining. Varied menu.Nice efficient staff.
I had the "doorstop" Lancashire cheese sandwich. It really was huge.
My only problem was that I had no room for one of the delicious cakes on offer, will have to go back for coffee and cake one day!

Great Farm Cafe, beautiful food, full breakfast is one of the best, gorgeous lunches or just coffee and cake, the cakes are out of this world with a large selection. The Light Ash is mostly busy so it's best to reserve a table if you're thinking of going around lunchtime. Flag floors and large farmhouse tables, very clean and cosy with a large log burner in winter. Good for disabled, parking is good, nice clean toilets, picnic benches outside in the sunny part, beautiful setting in the countryside, quiet and peaceful. Well worth a visit.

I love Light Ash Farm! We have visited to both eat in and take away. Friendly service, great quality food but the best thing is the cake. The selection is huge, there is so much to choose from, everything I have tried is delicious. The cake portions are massive and I normally have to cut them into two or three pieces. If you want a cake treat this is definitely the place to go.
