Great shop with a variety of items! In a rush, ask a staff member for help and they'll take you straight to the thing you need! Parking round the back is great for picking up compost and other garden pieces. Pricing is fair, often cheaper than the big companies!

A treasure trove of a shop full of almost everything household and garden! Compost, bird food, cooking utensils, cake making goods, kitchen and bathroom accessories, nails, tools, cleaning products, air fryers, wheelbarrows, glasses, plates, mugs and more! Lovely shop, lovely staff and free parking. Shops like this need to be valued and used. Go there; it's great!

Great independent hardware store, so much stuff is here, squirrelled away so whilst you may need to ask for it, the staff will guide you and, as others have said, it's a proper Aladdin's cave. A great alternative to the usual national-multiple companies .

If Davies doesn’t have what you need it probably doesn’t exist. Wonderful local store with a wide range of products and staffed with very helpful and friendly staff.

Amazing place just got there before closing time and the lady was most helpful and knowledgeable pointing us in the right direction we gather our items with ease so much to see, will be back again certainly recommend, if anyone should should have it try davies

Personal touch business. Has all those not so easy to find things that other DIY shops or a garden centre may or may not have, plus cookware and other kitchen stuff that is hard to find. Convenient parking and good prices.

Great shopping experience, as always. They didn't have what I needed but that's due to production issues on a component from China, so not their fault. Otherwise, there was the usual huge selection of quality produce. I could spend hours in here!!!

Everything that you need for home, garden and kitchen in one place. Through I think it's impossible to get inside with wheelchairs, there's so many things and not enough space. Staff is great as well and they have big knowledge about things they sell and are very kind. Wholeheartedly recommended.

Whenever your popping in for some electrical supplies or a new teacup and the array of gardening equipment catch your eye . If your after somthing chances are its hiding in this place.. just ask a member of staff and they will point you right to it!!

Davies is like an aladdin's cave. I have never come out of the store without the thing that I was looking for, whether it was a kitchen item, gardening, electrical, gifts, decorating. It's quite easy to spend a couple of hours in here just browsing and the owners and staff are always so very helpful.

Best hardware shop ever. A huge range of tools and homeware, the store itself is a tardis.. the upstairs department has even more goodies tucked away for plumbing and garden, off season goods such as barbecues kept in store all year.
The staff are very knowledgable, all you have to do is ask and chances are they have what you need even if it's not on show. Like today I wanted fiber washers, just asked and there they were in a case behind the till. 👍

Okay it's a bit like taking a trip back in time in this shop, but they sell everything you needs for home and garden. Well worth a visit. Most the time cheaper than the mega stores.

A great family run place that's been in the same place since the 19th century so they are obviously doing things right. If it isn't in the shop then it isn't on the market. Everything from gardening to plumbing with cake making and car care is there somewhere. Nice people run it too so what's not to like?

It is true that this is an almost unique and wonderful place and I find myself in there most weeks buying things I did not know I needed as well as those that I did. The staff are incredibly well informed and helpful and so it came as something of a shock when I was faced with abrupt and discourteous service recently. I will continue to shop there, but I do hope that I don`t need any more keys cut.

Whatever you need for the house and garden you really should look here first! Many has been the time I have travelled to or surrounding towns in search of something only to find that Davies has it or something similar / better. Pricing is great too so you would pottentially save yourself a lot of time and effort to pop in first.
