A fantastic, traditional tool shop!! They have those tools nobody else has!! Individual sockets, nuts, etc. Really friendly and helpful.

AHC is a great place to get anything you need. I they always have anything I need that might be a little out of the ordinary. The prices are competitive as well. On my last visit, I was surprised at the stock of tools they carry too and again competitive prices on these too. Well worth a visit, although I am told they have an online presence as well.

Visited today and felt compelled to write a review as soon as I got home. Fantastic service, couldn't have been more helpful. Arrived needing a very small nut to put a traumatised child's remote control car back together. The gentleman in the shop (Ray? - sorry, may not be) not only provided exactly what was needed but, as I'm a complete numpty with not one practical bone in my body, spent ages actually fixing it for me too. Way beyond the call of duty so thank you so much.

An Aladdin's cave of tools, fixings and stuff. If they haven't got it then you probably don't need it. Just need 3 of something? No problem. Always very helpful.

This is a gem of a shop which has some rare attribute: expert staff and a super wide range of stock. For fasteners they are unbeatable and a real godsend for classic car enthusiasts.

Great, old fashioned hardware store where you can buy everything from a couple of bolts to professional machinery. Staff actually know what they sell and how it works, unlike the big diy chains, and the prices are pretty competitive too.

Always has what I need, whether it's some obscure tool or just the odd nut. The humour can be dry but the guys are full of banter, but they are old school and don't expect a McDonalds style service with a smail. One of the chaps looks like Newton from MIB. Also, no more minimum £5 spend that other reviews have complained of. There is a really cool predator statue there too.

I would recommend them to anyone!

This place is epic, they have never failed to have what I need in stock when I need it. Can't comment on mail order as I live down the road so pop in. It has everything fastener wise and loads of tools. Great place.

AHC seem to have every screw/bolt/nut/washer one could possibly want.

Even extensive Google searches meant I couldn't find what I was after online - 30 seconds after I pop into AHC I am walking out the door having being sold quite an obscure sized part at a low price by friendly staff :-)

You can get just about any size and type of nut, bolt, washer or screw in any quantity and material unlike DIY stores that only sell limited ranges and in multi-packs

Great place for any tool, screw, nut or bolt. In fact if you need to hold 2 things together go see them.

The only old fashioned iron mongers anywhere in the vicinity.
