Had a nice meal with my husband here today. The man serving us couldn't have been more helpful. Due to dietary requirements I needed vegan gluten free and he checked with the chef to get options and any alternative accompaniments, as well as confirming things once he brought the food out. He was also very chatty and pleasant with all the customers, and service was nice and quick. Will definitely go again if want a quiet lunch in town.

Very quick service and with a smile , good food reasonably priced.

Beef burger with skinny fries, no tomato or sauce.
- good beef, would get sauce next time
- fries were crisp and didn't require any extra seasoning, the quantity of salt was perfect

Chicken parmigiana.
- the chicken was moist with a fantastic layer of breadcrumbs. The chicken and tomato blend had a good texture and didn't feel or taste greasy
- the chips were perfect, an amazing crunch without feeling fatty

Would visit again, the outside area is a nice touch on a sunny day

Very friendly, great live music and my beautiful boy Toby (Lurcher Cross) treated to a bowl of milk - his favourite. CJ is my new recruit and is a Pets As Therapy volunteer and he loves The Bear too. xXXx

Nice modern pub. Food is very good quality. Not many tables so best to book on a weekend.

Food was served still hot and in large portions. I definitely recommend a visit, but make sure you bring a very empty stomach! It was very good value for money.

Good home cooked tasty food

The UK sucks for service in bars, restaurants and even basic shops these days in general however, The bear has a good team of staff and in particular a gentleman working there who has been there for a good few years and he has single handedly restored my faith in the UK service sector. His name is Terry and if he’s working in your establishment rest assured that your facility is in good hands. He is super kind, extremely professional and an absolute top notch outstanding guy. The Bears food is also sublime, the chef must also be a legend of sorts. Burgers are top top quality! All the staff are always really friendly and accommodating! Highly recommend to anyone hungry or gasping!

Stopped here on a saturday afternoon for a few drinks and some food. Food was really good - great size portions and the staff were happy to banter, and attentive - just how a great British pub should be!! Well done!

DECEMBER 2023 UPDATE
Still amazing - excellent service and delicious food. They were so accommodating in getting our kids' food out early so we didn't have hangry little ones. Whoever thought to offer a melted camembert on the burgers needs a medal! 🤤

MARCH 2023
Had Mothers' Day lunch here with my mum. The roasts were absolutely amazing - great portion sizes, loads of gravy and everything was cooked well. The Biscoff cheesecake was to die for.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere too - nicely busy, without being absolutely packed in. Our food arrived pretty quickly. I will definitely be back and highly recommend it.

A very nice pub that just so happens to be in a town centre - but it doesn't feel like it when you're inside. Staff are lovely and helpful, the drinks menu is extensive and it is dog friendly. Didn't get to try the food but they do have a surprising number of vegan options so will definitely be back to try them!

Fabulous food, the tapas selection is great and the fish and chips is simply divine ! Great service from Sam and Terry who are a pleasure to deal with. The chef is always very adviceful and very considerate to any dietary needs or special requests. Thanks !

We went to the Bear for a Mother's Day treat for my lovely Mum whom is 90 yrs young,somehow when I called to book the table it wasn't written down & when we arrived they didn't have a table for the five of us,but the manager was so good & quickly managed to sort a table out for us without to much trouble, the meal was outstanding, so delicious,the staff were busy but attentive,my Mum had a wonderful time, we would definitely recommend & go back there again 😀

Thank you to all the staff for fitting me in without a reservation this evening. The meal was absolutely incredible. I would highly recommend the Steak and Guinness pie, definately one of the best pies I have eaten. Service was superb with good attention to finer details. Highly recommended to any visitors in Camberley!

Fresh tasty food, such a friendly warm team as well. We visited with a dog and we were allowed to sit indoors, doggie got spoilt with cuddles, a bowl of water and some treats. We had the chicken wings and calamari, burger and a lovely open sandwich. Great portions and really tasty!
