The Crows Nest Cafe

This is our favourite place to eat down on the waterfront! Affordable meals, amazing service and the view of the harbour is wonderful. On a sunny day, sitting outside with a cold drink and a full breakfast truly feels like heaven.

The staff are always kind and helpful, welcoming and accommodating. Can't fault them at all!

For a small cafe, as a Coeliac, this was a great find. There was a selection of cakes, instead of the usual one! And the staff were really helpful and willing to go the extra mile to provide food that I wanted all at a price that was reasonable and in line with the food containing gluten. Other places would do well to note! Thanks to the staff!

We tried it today, May 7.2024. 3 of us all had something different & they were all excellent. I told staff, they were well worth a review. We had a mid day lunch with good choices of coffee a large variety of food choice on the menu with nice views from the window overlooking the Harbour .

Baddabing baddaboom! I sit here content, gazing through the hustle and bustle of this wonderfully popular cafe at the tranquil Marina. My stomach full from the tasty large breakfast, my generously large latte waiting to be finished.

There’s a reason why it’s so popular, the Crows Nest, welcoming staff, friendly patrons and wonderful, well priced food. I wouldn’t have taken a picture of breakfast but I ate it to quickly 😋

Very friendly and efficient service. Dog friendly (including inside). On a windy Wednesday in March it was packed, while other cafes on the same strip were deserted. Lovely coffee. Would have had the hot cross bun + coffee offer if it had been better advertised.

Brilliant place. I have an assistance dog and we were made to feel so welcome. No sooner had we sat down then they bought over a bowl of water for Murphy, followed by a sausage for him. As for his humans we had a great breakfast. What a great find

This is absolutely my go-to for lunch with a friend who needs lactose and gluten-free food, as they cater for both, as well as vegetarian and vegan options on the specials board. The service can sometimes be a little slow when they get busy, (a good sign, lots of locals) but it just gives you more time to chat and relax. The food is always good, nothing pretentious, and recently the chips have been amazing. No designer interior, the indoor seating can feel a little cramped and it could do with a second loo. In summer, there's additional seating outside on the quay, and some benches outside all year for people with dogs. It's just a little place, with a big heart.

Excellent variety on the menu at very reasonable prices. Staff are friendly and advised there was abit of a wait. We didn't mind as it was such a lovely day and you could clearly see they were very busy. Worth the wait.

I had the best chilli here yesterday. I was warned it would be spicy but it was perfect for me! Some chilli's in places are not authentic, this was. Fab home cooked tasting chips to go with it! Fantastic value for money.

The food was good.
Staff were super friendly.
Especially one lady who served us, I'm not sure of her name but we had my 4 year old brother and my 11 month old brother with us out for lunch.
The lady told my brother Harley "if you eat all your nuggets, I will give you a surprise"
Obviously my brother being himself. He didn't eat the nuggets but the lady was still nice and gave him a chocolate bar.

This is an amazing place and I absolutely loved it; the food was great, the staff was amazing and the menu had a nice variety. Brought my girlfriend along and we both loved it

Wonderful little cafe, 20 minute wait on food but it was completely full. Sides were very nice and the main food itself was also brilliant and not trying to be too fancy.

Always a friendly welcome from the hard working staff. We've been visiting this cafe for many years and it never fails to please. The food is always perfectly cooked and piping hot, with a good selection for all tastes and appetites.
The homemade cakes are a must to take away after your meal (I don't think you could eat them straight after the generous portions of savory fare!)
There are gluten free options of cakes that I've noted, so that must be a huge plus.

Called in here twice for breakfast, very clean and staff friendly and helpful, I do not eat bacon and they were very happy to replace it with a sausage and a smile.
Prices were good not rip off like you find in some of these areas, food was all fresh and tasty.
will be calling back here on our next trip to the area.
