Lived in Pontyates 18 yrs never used the pharmacy personally before but what a level of service from my initial phone call, consultation and finally picking up the medication. Better than my GP (not pontyates) A big thanks to all concerned. Feel better already 👍

I live in Kidwelly and was given this pharmacy's number by a very snotty receptionist at Kidwelly surgery. Thank goodness she did, lovely friendly helpful staff. I only had to wait 5 mins to see the pharmacist he put my mind at rest and gave me a prescription for a virus . Thank you.

Used the new Minor Injuries service as I had something in my eye, staff very professionally assessed it and identified an infection which they prescribed antibiotics for, I went in at very short notice, they saw my straight away and I made my flight to Germany, brilliant service.

Excellent pharmacy good reliable service and helpful staff, can only say you cannot fault the service.

I have been to this chemist for years but sadly recently on three occasions the prescription items I needed were out of stock and had to get them elseware as they could not get them until at least Monday. It was Friday and needed the prescription for the weekend.

Despite ordering repeat scripts well in advance, the actual goods are rarely if ever ready. Their ordering and stock capabilities of tabs/pills is poor and inefficient, resulting in incomplete collections...something I constantly experience. It may take 30 mins plus waiting to receive goods, despite a staff of around 6 or 7. This is the norm and not one off. Manager/owner needs to reorganise systems and staffing. Also, fail to understand why they close on Saturdays. In short, being in there is not a pleasant experience.

Staff so rude. Went to request repeat prescription did not have a mask on as I thought I didn't need one in a shop. Assistant asked me if I had a mask with her mask under her chin!!! Told me she would come outside to take the repeat prescription paper and then went on to say you wouldnt walk into a doctor surgery without a mask. I was only dropping of a repeat prescription don't think she needed to be so aggressive and rude. Won't be going back there again!!

Went to Pontyates surgery today . Had an appointment for 5-20 but didn’t get seen until 5-50 . The doctor then gave me my mother’s prescription . Went straight over to the pharmacy it was just two minutes past six only to be told they were closed . Surely there should be some kind of communication between the surgery and the pharmacy to ensure people can get their medication on the day . Absolutely shocking service .

Exceptionally rude manager, problems with re-delivery of essential medications on several occasions. Avoid at all cost
