Thistledown glamping is a little hidden gem. The most beautiful views, privacy, kid friendly. We have been 3 times and twice with our children and it was lovely seeing them enjoy being outside with nature and exploring where the stream lead and they loved being able to cook over the fire pit outside. They loved exploring the surroundings and figures they found lit up at night. The hosts are what make it though, so lovely and accommodating, nothing is too much trouble. The beds are so comfortable- dangerously comfortable! But the hot tub under the stars is probably what you will want to come back to most.

Thee best weekend I've had in my recent memory.

The huts are superb, testament to Tim's workmanship. The layout of the site is great, the surroundings are so peaceful and serene.

Literally couldn't of asked for a nicer stay or more hospitable hosts.

Would of given 10 stars let alone 5. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back.

Amazing beautiful place to stay. Our accommodation was gorgeous, warm and super-stylish . Wood fired hot tub was wonderful. Claire and Tim couldn’t do enough to ensure we had everything we needed. We wanted a quiet and secluded spot and we weren’t disappointed but the location is within easy reach of the beautiful Ceredigion coastline and pretty Aberaeron and NewQuay. Perfect romantic getaway. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely quirky cottage, plenty of space for a couple and a little dog. Bed really comfy, nice big sofa and a smart television for the days where the weather isn’t great. Beaches close by. Sadly we never got to use the hot tub. Great hosts, nice location.

We had a lovely time here nothing to fault at all. The decor, feel and attention to detail in the cottage was perfect, including an amazing bathroom! The owners were lovely and made us feel welcome, communication was also perfect. We struggled to leave the cottage to go out because it was so cosy and peaceful. The wood fired hot tub is the best!! A short drive to the coast and some nice local pubs. I would highly recommend to anyone and will be back :)

Amazing little getaway in a beautiful part of Wales. Unique little touches throughout the cottage. We experienced a magical moment as it started snowing as we were sitting in the hot tub.

We stayed in April as a suprise for my birthday from my partner. Couldn't have wished for nicer hosts, Claire and Tim couldn't do enough to help us and recommend things to do and see in the local area! We stayed in the cottage which was absolutely gorgeous and suited us down to the ground, with the perk of watching the stars from the hot tub! Thank you for making our stay extra special and we will most certainly be back, most definitely bringing the pup dog next time 🐾 xx

Beautiful cottage inside and out, we fell in love with the decor! It was very clean and you can tell the hosts do a excellent job and looking after the cottage. It had all the amenities we needed and also lovely added extras like robes for the hot tub and a welcome tray of goodies. It had dishwasher tablets, coffee pods for the machine - the little extras that sometimes you don’t get in self catered accommodation! The location was very peaceful, perfect place to go to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life but only a short drive to local towns and restaurants. The wood fired hot tub was a great added extra. The hosts were lovely, greeted us on arrival and were there for us if we needed them for the duration of the stay. Would highly recommend this cottage for a couples weekend away. We are hoping to return again later in the year!

Could not recommend these guys more! Ideal location where you feel complete relaxation but close enough to busy places to visit. The hosts could not be happier to help you out if you need it. Perfect escape! Everything you need in the huts Tim built! Wood fire hot tub was amazing and such a peaceful place to escape to.

Me my mum and my dog pip recently stayed at Thistledown in finch hut for 3 nights and we absolutely loved it! Claire and Tim were very helpful and couldn’t do enough for us yet we had all the privacy we needed. The hut and garden were stunning and it was so peaceful! We found plenty to do and explore in the surrounding area and loved cooking on the fire pit before having a dip in the wood fired hot tub which was amazing and easy to use! This is our second stay and we have loved every second of both trips and can’t wait to return again at some point 😍 thanks Claire and Tim for an amazing stay! It’s my absolute fav 😊

We had a fantastic time staying in "finch" shepherd's hut 😊 super comfy, well built, cosy and had everything we needed. Claire and Tim were great hosts, fun chatty and friendly and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay restocking wood for hot tub and fire fit and even recommend local places to visit with our little girl but we were happy to stay on site as there was all we needed right there. 10/10 we will most definitely be back ❤

My boyfriend and I stayed in Wren and it was amazing start to finish. Claire greeted us as we came in to the driveway and was so lovely and friendly.
The huts were built by Tim and they are just perfection! So well built and thought out, with all the necessities included. The land that the huts are located on is so beautiful, with great views and nice walks around the area. Both the hut and the toilet/shower building were immaculate, and so well looked after. Both Claire and Tim were wonderful hosts, and I would highly recommend this place to everyone! Thank you so much 😍

We recently stayed here for our anniversary, in Wren. Claire and Tim are some of the friendliest hosts I have come across. They were super helpful with the booking and accommodating extra items I ordered to be delivered to the hut. The place itself is stunning. You can really see the love and attention to detail that has gone into the hut and surrounding area.The hot tub was lovely and great views. Claire was super helpful and on hand with any questions we had. I would highly recommend this place and we will definitely be retuning.

What an amazing relaxing gorgeous place.. we have just returned after long weekend stay with our reactive dog. It is so peaceful and beautiful we didn't want to come home. We stayed in Finch 2 adults one teenager and a German shepherd and it was really comfortable and had everything you needed. Claire and Tim were great and could not do enough. I would highly recommend this gorgeous little retreat and can't wait to come back ..

I have just come home from a long weekend in Bramble Cottage at Thistledown. What a lovely stay. The cottage was homely, comfortable and pristinely clean. There are some great quirky touches and it’s not that kind of bland magnolia holiday cottage you see everywhere. Coffee machine, hot tub and a great shower were all nice touches. I was attending a course close by and it was the perfect base to come back to after a busy day. Claire & Tim are welcoming and friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

Such a nice relaxing holiday . Wood fired hot tub is so relaxing. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Great location for access to beaches . Highly recommended. Oh and pet friendly.

We have just stayed at Thistledown Glamping for 4 nights in the Finch hut with our 5 month old son for our first family holiday. The place is absolutely stunning and the Finch hut is beautiful - bigger than I thought it would be which was great! The beds were comfortable and was well equipped with everything we could need for our stay. The toilets are a few meters away and are very warm and clean. We were greeted by Claire when we arrived who was really lovely. So much thought and effort has gone into creating this beautiful place and I would definitely come back here again! We had such a relaxing time.

Just returned from a 4 night stay in Bramble Cottage with my wife Maria and our dog Doug. Over the last 7 years, we have stayed in dozens of holiday lets, this one is the best by far! It is outstanding! You cannot fault it! Superbly equipped and beautifully designed and decorated. Every room has quirky art pieces and some beautiful furniture! Our hosts Tim and Claire did a fantastic job! Tim stacked the wood in the hot tub every day, making it really easy to light and keep warm, You really must try their free range eggs! The cottage is superbly situated to explore this beautiful part of the 🌎 We will return! Thank you Tim and Claire x

We had a long weekend at Thistledown Glamping and stayed in the finch Shepard’s hut. Despite the weather, Claire and Tim made the experience as enjoyable as possible and the hut was beautiful. Any problems we were accommodated to straight away and made to feel very welcome and comfortable. Everything was clean and tidy and Tim and Claire stocked up on wood for us each day for the hot tub.

10/10 and would definitely recommend.
Would visit again for sure.
