If I could give 10 stars I would. There aren't enough words to describe the difference in quality of product, many of which have cheaper dupes online. If it is in your budget I can vouch they look and feel 100x better than anything similar with a beautiful depth to the metals and the glass quality nothing like the mass manufactured type available.

We recently renovated and tried several well known, commercial quality lighting companies such as Astro and Rockett St George. Whilst there was nothing wrong, the quality and service from Jim Lawrence was just outstanding. From an initial online chat where I sent across images of my home and receiving thoughtful guidance through to aftercare, it's been a perfect journey.

I cannot recommend this brand enough, and am slowly finding reasons to replace all other lights in our home.

Great company

We have quite a number of lights from Jim Lawrence most of them in antiqued brass. The latest order is an outdoor light “ Ships Light” using a 4 W E27 LED bulb.

Excellent selection of light and door fittings. Easy to park, and you can look at lights, etc, without being pounced on by a salesperson

The customer service of Jim Lawrence is second to non. I had a small green fleck on one of my beautiful lights and they very quickly got a replacement out to me and picked up the damaged light through a courier. The replacement light unfortunately arrived at the wrong address however even though it was the fault of the delivery company they still offered me free delivery on my next order due to the faff of everything. Sometimes I feel like amazing customer service is hard to find in the uk these days, but the lovely Staff at Jim Lawrence proved to me that it’s still there with certain amazing companies

Reading recent reviews I felt I had to jump in and give some balance. We’ve recently installed ten beautiful antique brass lights (8 wall and 2 pendant) and are so happy with both the customer service and the look, feel and quality of the items. They are taking on a beautiful colour as they age and oxidise and we couldn’t be happier.

We needed some help with matching designs/finishes and also customer made lengths and other parts - all without trouble. We will definitely be using this company for our continued project.

I used the chat function to ask a question about a product and the team promptly replied, asked me to send an email and they answered that promptly as well and sent the part I was looking for. Such a great customer service and the products are very elegant and durable. We will always visit their site for handles, stays, lights and much more.

We purchased a total of 6 pendant lights for various rooms in our newly refurbished house. We drove out to the showroom to see the lights but going forward I would be comfortable ordering directly from the website. I didn’t find the showroom staff particularly friendly or helpful but when dealing with customer service over the phone it was outstanding. We had two separate issues beyond JL’s control and they rectified the situation without hesitation. Very happy with our lights and we have received many compliments on them. Thanks!!

Bought some antique finger plates in January after my missus giving me grief about sorting out the doors. After order we had a bit of delay in them arriving Jim and Sheena worked tirelessly to ensure we got the product and kept me in the loop all the way through. What a company and great employees - if you need the door handles this is the place guys awesome

Jim Lawrence products are beautiful and well made. Hand made in their Hadleigh workshop, I am becoming a bit of an addict I admit and am always looking out for the next thing to buy from them! From clearance curtains from the website to a lovely ironwork table and a coat rack, with lots of beautiful fabric purchases in between... I might start buying lampshades next. Oh and a couple of lights for my kitchen too...

What a wonderful find. Now I can't keep away! I have purchased a variety of products which include the 'Linden Coat Hooks', pictures and more recently I have even purchased some 'Elmswell Star' fabric to make curtains for our yacht, It is by far the best dressed boat on the river! The quality of their products is superb and the service I have received has been faultless. But don't take my word for it!

A first class product , love everything at Jim Lawerence we have been renovating our cottage for the last two years and have bought many items from lights , curtains , switches , sockets and hooks , my favourite item is my cherub light fitting it's just stunning . It's true the items are not cheap but you get what you pay after all. My only negative comment would be I wish the plain ivory items were not being discontinued but perhaps they may come back !

Purchased a 40cm cream linen diffuser for a shade I have. Absolutely delighted with it. Fits perfectly, looks fabulous and was very well packed. Just purchased two more for other shades!

Great products and excellent service. We have bought lighting and curtain poles several times over the years and have always been delighted. Really good quality.

Jim Lawrence lights are of a far superior quality to many that are found on the high street, or even in the halls of the bespoke light seller. The designs are beautiful and the craftsmanship is of a standard that is rarely found these days. Highly recommended.

Super helpful staff, ordered a made to measure bay window curtain pole was taken through the process step by step. Pole arrived well within 14 days and is very well-made.
