Beautiful place to have a cuppa in which was a rich mans folly.stunning views over the estuary. The garden are being lovingly restored. The castle can be hired for your special events

Not really a castle but a lovely free garden. Shaldon in general is a lovely place to visit. There are hills and steps.

Regularly visit the Castle. Open to the public on Tuesdays, for tea coffee and biscuits, best to check times etc beforehand. Lovely inside with friendly and helpful volunteers, who give up their hours, to open up the castle, for the public.Inside the castle there is also, lots of information about the fascinating history of the castle and the lovely gardens, activities for children, and some lovely art displayed. Yes highly recommend visiting the castle.

Beautiful atmospheric place , well kept & theres no fee , parking was a little hard , as its on a hill but after driving round a couple of times we were fine .. there is disabled parking available .. Its suprisingly small but very impressive .. gardens are georgous & quite large .. 😊
