Found this by accident after visiting the Aquarium. Such lovely helpful staff, they have gluten free bread and made me a generously filled ham and cheese toasted sandwich! Soup in the side was delicious too. Dog friendly too, so I got to say hi to a few pups. Definitely recommend, thank you 🙂

Rankin’s Cafe is an absolute delight. The service is prompt and friendly, the setting is charming with the Forth bridge visible over the top of the pretty village houses. Both times we visited our daughter had the kids breakfast which she loved. I was very happy to find a full vegetarian breakfast on the menu (including delicious vegetarian haggis). The food, the atmosphere, the service is all great. Highly recommend!

Lovely cozy cafe, with friendly staff and a good selection of cafe food. Appreciated the rolls we ordered were piping hot and not greasy (like they can be at other places). The gold bar cookie was indulgent too

Only bit of feedback was that could do with some ventilation/fresh air inside

Looked for a place perfect for a tasty lunch with friend near Inverkeithing. Rankin's did not disappoint. Very friendly staff, ensured you had everything you wanted. Food was so delicious, friend had a lorne sausage roll, I had avocado, grilled halloumi, poached egg on toast drizzled with balsamic vinegar, thoroughly enjoyed. Finished off with scones with jam and clotted cream. Tea is served with cute crockery in a tray and Dragon fruit and mango cooler was yummy. Definitely going back.

I love eating in this cozy wee cafe which used to be the old post office several years ago. Lovely friendly staff. This visit I had a chicken salad gluten free sandwich with side salad and Kettle crisps. Soup in a mug is an extra £2. Today's was lentil, carrot and coconut. Vegan and gluten free. Last time delicious GF thinly sliced toasted bread with lemon cream cheese and smoked salmon. Yum. My husband enjoyed a fruity couscous and sweet potato wrap. Delicious too.

Very busy I would book ahead, we got lucky and was allowed to share a table so got to taste the really good haggis sandwich and toast poached egg with avocado. Tried the Latte which came out blue I thought it was very good and the cakes were very good will be back. Recommend.

Situated in the idyllic village of North Queensferry in Fife, a stone's throw away from the iconic Forth Rail Bridge, Rankin's café and deli is the perfect place for a bite to eat.
A pleasant atmosphere, with ambient music which isn't too loud to intrude on conversation, staff who are knowledgeable about their products, photos and artwork by local artists on the walls.
The food was delicious. The vegetarian breakfast and the traditional grilled breakfast are pictured, with a turmeric latte and regular latte. Their selection of specialty teas are worth trying too.
This bijou restaurant is highly recommended.

Fantastic little coffee shop, very cosy with tasteful decor. Food was also really good, but the highlight was the fantasticly friendly staff, even answering my questions about the brand of black pudding they use (which was really good!). It's a truly lovely little stopover for aome light lunch while exploring the quaint village of North Queensferry.

The best warm roll I’ve ever had. Soup was great as well. I’d make a trip just for that toll, but it’s a special so, please please please add that to your menu. Was expecting much at first, but best lunch I’ve had in a long time. I’ll definitely be back. And the staff were super polite, all four of them.

Had morning coffee today with the Hebridean stack. Absolutely fabulous. In fact, so good I had to have another. Gluttony or what but delicious food. Served by a friendly waitress. Also greeted by Sue like a regular customer despite only visiting the cafe 3 times a year.
Brilliant place next to the Forth Bridge.
Looking forward to going again on my next trip to Edinburgh.
A real treat. Thanks Sue and staff.(sorry girls, I forgot your names)
