Harvey's Coffee House

1st, both coffee and food are beautiful and great. 2nd, the beautiful lady, mother of the owner was so nice. To be honest, as a visitor from Texas US, I don’t have high expectation of manors of British at all based on my previous experience. It proved again in the morning when a nice looking Cambridge guy did not allow us sitting by him although the table has 3 empty seats..When I brought my kids to look for other seats, the lady came to me to say sorry and explained a long time to me that the guy was not right. She was so patient with us and spent long time talking with me in a busy morning. This lady made my day, and changed my view to the British culture. I should still have hope to see nice people like the beautiful lady. Thanks a lot!!!

Lovely coffee place inside the Gonville & Caius College but open to everyone (not students only) and easily reachable with a short walk from the Mathematical bridge.
We loved the coffees and the pastries.
The service was amazing and the atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming with nice tables on the garden.
Thank you, we will definitely be back!

I really cannot recommend this coffee shop enough. The staff are always very friendly, welcoming and explain the new filter special roasts they have on. Not to mention the amazing selection of pastries and baked goods. My only critique of Harvey's would be that sometimes finding seating can be a bit difficult, but that really is just a testament to how amazing the service, atmosphere, and coffee is at Harvey's!

Excellent coffee and they definitely know their stuff. They get new beans every 2-3 weeks and so you can always try out new stuff. Sitting outside feels just like a vacation.

As it’s a cafe in a college expect most people to have their laptops out and work while conversing / coffeeing.

The cakes are great and the vibes are too. Staff is lots of students and friendly.

The staff here are so friendly and pleasant, the ambience is lovely, and the drinks are made very carefully to a high standard every time. I love the branding and their ethos, one of my favourite cafes in Cambridge. The matcha is second to none.

Best coffee on campus! Visited for the first time last October when it’s not on google map yet to support a “friend-of-friend” business, but it exceeded expectations. Rich and smooth with notes of nuts and chocolate.

There is passion for making good coffee, from the warm aroma of the beans to the never disappointing beautiful latte art.

The pastries come in small bites and less guilty conscience.

Great to see it’s getting popular, though now I have to fight even for a shared table :>

The coffee was great and a really nice atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon. Staff were all super friendly and for us it was great with a buggy. We’re not students and dropped into the coffee house following a wedding. The doors opened onto the grass to give a real sense of space and lovely breeze. Real hidden gem in Cambridge !

I loved the buzz and the open doors to the garden at the back of the cafe.

It was very busy when I visited but still got a seat and didn't have to queue for long and the staff were super friendly.

Ordered a Matcha, it was really delicious and a good price.

Will definitely come back and might bring my laptop, as it seems to be a great place for remote working :-)

You can't beat the weather today for a coffee like this. Cool March air but warm sunshine made for a thoroughly enjoyable flat white and slice of banana Biscoff cake outside on the steps. Great conversation with the barista about the available beans and the plans for introducing new and different coffees to students on a rotating basis. Definitely a place to return to and explore what's new next time.

Clever re-purposing of formerly under-used and mostly inaccessible place to create workspace/cafe for both students and public in otherwise somewhat coffee-desert location. Nice coffee, friendly people 😊

As is always the case when I have coffee at Harvey's, I find myself wondering why I ever drink coffee anywhere else. Their coffee is divine! So rich and flavourful.

They also have lovely, friendly, efficient staff and a great welcoming vibe, plenty of tables with different seating arragements, and even outdoor space for those rare glimpses of sunshine. Very highly recommended!

Incredible drinks in a super lovely space. Michael makes amazing coffee and as an added bonus, he also has the best matcha latte in town :) the perfect place to work and have a tasty afternoon cake too

Just discovered this cafe and absolutely loved it! Spacious and bright with lots of large tables. Staff was really nice, coffee was good and food was okay. Heating is a bit insufficient, but blanket was provided. The only drawback was that there're not enough spots for charging.
Will definitely come often.

By far the best coffee in Cambridge. I went over a week ago and haven’t stopped thinking about the coffee ever since! The service is always so friendly and kind despite them being really busy. This place is the real deal. The banana biscoff cake is hard to resist but a flat white is an absolute must!

One of my favourite spots in Cambridge. Great coffee, great cakes and buns and quiche, and the staff are all lovely. It's a great space, with good atmosphere, good light, good music, and nice gardens right outside. Good thing I live on the other side of town, I'd be broke, full of cake, and too wired to ever get any sleep if I was much closer.

I had to visit this place. My old collage in Cambridge had opened the students common room in Harvey Court to anyone for a cup of coffee.

The JCR in Harvey Court was the same, but had more comfortable seating. There was now a coffee shop there as well. Excellent coffee, and lovely cakes, which were warmed and brought over to use.

Came for a quick coffee, ended up having a lovely chat with the baristas and marketing director. It’s a bit out of the city, but if you take the U bus it gets you there directly to a quieter part of town, that’s less touristy!

What a find! Beautiful surroundings with lovely kept gardens of Gonville & Caius college. Had a beautiful lemon and blueberry cake and Vietnamese iced coffee after a concert on a Saturday morning. Staff are all lovely and create a lovely atmosphere. Coffee was wonderful - Ugandan washed process.
The signage isn't great due to college rules, so picture attached! Well worth visiting and we will become regular now we've found this lovely sanctuary!

The best coffee in town! Great atmosphere and garden. Staff Callum and Karina are very friendly and helpful. Also great mango matcha with strawberry flakes! Highly recommended!!!
