Delicious authentic Punjabi curry night in traditional medieval pub with family after the Stratton hospital fete tonight. Reasonably priced and scrumptious. Enjoyed by all my family.

We had our Christmas do here last Friday and it was superb! We ate in the restaurant where both fires were going, which made it warm and cosy. There were 9 of us - a mix of meat eaters and vegetarians and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Their take on a nut roast was so much more than a nut roast I’ve ever tasted, so delicious. There was a plentiful selection of vegetables and the leeks in cheese sauce just divine. For dessert Those that had the vegan orange and chocolate sponge were delighted, very light sponge, lovely flavour, with a rich dark chocolate (just to die for). The food was top, top quality and piping hot. The rest of the pub was buzzing too, which is always great to see. Well done to everyone at the Tree Inn!

We were so thankful for the level of customer service that we received at the Tree Inn. They prepared a room for us at extremely short notice (because we were camping nearby, but due to bad weather had to call it.)

We were met with a warm welcome and very friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean, warm and well-furnished. The building itself was very interesting too, with lots of Tudor character.

We are so grateful for all of the help and hospitality, would definitely stay here again and would recommend.

Lovely Inn, beautiful and rustic. The owner/manager was very friendly and helpful too. Only possible issue is that the floors are all on strange angles because the building is so old, it really adds to the charm of the building but might not be suitable for people with mobility or balance problems

We arrived at The Tree Inn in Bude on the 27th of April 2023. We were greeted by the Landlord who explained everything to us in detail. During the course of the evening having a drink 🍷 in the bar, Simon became our lecturer by giving us some history Pertaining to his establishment to which I found to be fascinating. Not forgetting Dennis aka The Menace who rendered assistance to some food purchase that lacked the tastiness, so he made some delicious gravy to go with it, thank you the menace. Simon thanks for your help. This man in question displayed professionalism in all aspects and made us feel very welcome. Keep the history going to all new guests. Brilliant time god bless.

A lovely old pub with loads of rustic character. The rooms are clean and adequately furnished with comfortable beds. The shared bathroom facilities are good, but bit dated here and there.

Simon was a great host and the selection of beers and ciders were excellent. The shared kitchen is a great idea so you can cook what you like along with the complimentary continental breakfast on offer.

Pubs like this need our support even more in these difficult times. I look forward to staying there again soon.

We came across this restaurant accidentally, in a desperate search of a not fully booked place around Bude in this busy half term holiday week. And we actually enjoyed the best dinner since we moved to England from Italy 3 years ago! Chef Andy Campbell has the magic to combine fresh, local and even simple ingredients to gain superlative result. And the wine selection is excellent as well. Absolutely recommended!

This place is amazing. It has a great selection of gins. We ate in the pool bar as other tables were taken & the food was exquisite. I had rib eye steak which isn't my usual choice but was one of the nicest steaks I've ever had. The seasoning was just perfection on everything & portions were a good size. Staff were great & the locals were super friendly, even looked after our Great Dane so we could eat our food in peace. Only criticism was the lack of a children's menu so limited choice for our 5 year old. Can't wait to go back!

Very friendly welcome from the hosts. Made us feel special and we're very helpful with the wine selection. Food was excellent, service great. We returned the second night and the hosts remembered us and which wine we had from the previous night. Food again was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone. Well done.

Brilliant old inn with a fascinating history, incorporating old buildings alongside. In a quiet side street, this pub has plenty of interesting features. Good beer and friendly staff. Small courtyard seating outside.

Went for a trip on my motorbike for the weekend and booked at this place. There was a warm welcome from Simon who I have to say thank you as he made our stay worth the drive, very welcoming. There is no parking on site but he kindly let us park our motorbikes in the beer garden over the nights ! Reasonable prices great staff and would 100% recommend this place to anyone

Lovely historic Inn with "galleon" (oak-beamed) dining room. We visited unplanned, they fitted us in as soon as the kitchen opened and the food and service were great! Mid to upper scale prices, but not pretentious about kids only wanting chips and garlic bread (which were amazing). I had very tasty homemade steak burger, but home-breadcrumbed chicken fillet burger also looked fantastic.

Lovely, cosy place. After dragging my suitcase uphill I was greeted by the question “Would you like a nice cold beer?“ and to up and including my departure my stay was a delight from start to finish. Clean, friendly, walking distance to Bude centre and surrounding beaches. Will happily visit again in the future. Friendly manager and staff.

Very nice food and lovely character to the pub.

We visited for an evening meal and the food and service was excellent. Food catered for both adults and kids and the portion size was very large.

The food was very well cooked and the staff were very helpful.

For anyone visiting Bude or who live there it is highly recommended

Called in for a drink here, excellent establishment, has everything, separate restaurant bars and excellent outside seating area. Fabulous staff and service. Highly recommend this pub best we have come across in the Bude area. We will be back and that is the first time we have felt this after many attempts.

A lovely old fashioned pub with open fire and a great atmosphere. Great range of drinks. Landlord couldn't be more hospitable in our visit. The restaurant is being revamped atm, so closed. Grabbed a couple of Pizzas from the van in the village, and permitted to eat in the pub. Lool forward to the new chef and restaurant reopening
