Steak was delicious as were the chips but so expensive and to be charging £3 for pepper sauce on the side meant it was a real treat and not somewhere you could go often.

The fish sharing platter was also really disappointing - one fish cake between two and 4 small goujons. It didn’t really feed one person let alone share. Just a plate of sauce.

Everything else was great. Best duck salad.
Great Guinness.

Beef Burger, Chicken wings and pork belly were sold out unfortunately.

A brief stop here on holiday, suggested by my friend who knew the area and was local to Glastonbury. Pub on corner and on a hill. Can be well seen from the main road. Ample parking. Looked very inviting. A cosy bar with seating additional seating adjacent and a dining area. A varied and reasonably priced menu, especially for Glastonbury area, as hotspot for tourists. An atmospheric and chilled vibe. Staff very knowledgeable about local beers and menu. Only had a side order, but the service was excellent! Eclectic, hippy and homely decor inside, and western type cowboy themed seating overhang outside in garden. Very spacious garden. Tepee climbing area for kids, and looks like they do BBQs in summer too. Plenty of seating in garden. Relaxing music played over speaker outside. Although we had no time to visit, we were invited to see a "museum" or art upstairs above pub, but short of time. Visit next time. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff and very helpful to visitors. I imagine during summer season this is very busy inn, so book in advance for lunch or evening meal. Highly recommend.

Came to the pub on a recommendation. Was not disappointed at all. The staff were amazing, very welcoming and friendly. Great tasting food for us and the kids. Definitely returning when we're up that way again!

A really popular and atmospheric little watering hole. The car park was very busy which normally indicates something is good. Walking into the beer garden I couldn't believe how quirky it was. Some great covered and heated outdoor spaces with arm chairs and photos on the wall to mimic an indoor sitting room.

Then there was a massive hand carved wooden table and what I could only describe as dining thrones. Just next to this was a well surrounded by benches. There was plenty of spaces to sit outdoors.

Inside was nice and cooling with a buzzing busy atmosphere but no tables available. Staff were incredibly friendly and offered suggestions on what drink to try.

The food serving station outside offered very welcome shade in the heat whilst drinking my beer and contemplating an evening meal. I didn't pop in to eat but seeing some of the plates being served swayed me. This was clearly a step up from normal pub grub.

I enjoyed a really nice and different ice cold lager. Then had a stunning burger, skin on fries and slaw served on a board. Delicious!!!

Ecstatic!
We had no words to express how amazingly this place has been turned around. Lovely, atmospheric, fresh and original. Stuff is superb, friendly, kind and attentive. Great family orientated pub suitable for a young group of friends, couple seeking nice evening out or a family wanting to spend some time together. Garden is lovely arranged with plenty of seating and separate areas. Manu is designed to cater for different needs, vegans, vegetarians and celiacs, with locally sourced ingredients.
Definitely worth a visit!

Table of 4. All had a faultless meal. Service was excellent. Also drank some local cider, which went down a treat! The new refurbishment of the crown is very well presented. We will be visiting again.

Great pub with fantastic food.
Has an intuition that this would be a standout location - and lived up to the hype.
Cannot wait to go back again.

A must.!!!..driven past this place many of times, thinking I must find the time to go in..And sure glad we did, the bar is full of atmosphere and fun, the staff are welcoming which is always a great start, especially when we had two hungry children in tow..you can eat in the bar or the restaurant area.. which is fun and wacky design features!!! Food amazing best food we had in a long while !!!
A must for anyone even if it's for a quick drink and a chat.. but definitely stop for food !!!
Thanks The crown 👑 be back soon.. 👍

These days if you dont support local pubs they wont be there next time. On the road today doing calls I endured a meeting at Costa on Bristol just awful and expensive. I needed somewhere to do some work and fancied a new pub so headed for The Crown..good car park good atmosphere ans good low alcohol beer..interesting mix of clients ladies who lunch contractors and locals. No time to eat but menu looked good

Best lamb roast we've had in ages. Great service and atmosphere too. Decorated with taste and has a beautiful back garden, with a lovely little playground for kids. A little gem.

Lovely, welcoming staff. Happy for you to just come and have a drink unlike another local pub . Great food and atmosphere. Good but unpretentious menu. Ham, egg and chips best I have had. Great for locals and visitors. May have to move to Pilton to be within walking distance! Well done guys 💕

I just wanted to say what a lovely time we had on Easter Sunday. It was a late booking for the whole family, but the staff went above and beyond to fit us all in. The food and all the staff were amazing. Highly recommend - thank you so much.
