The Swan Lyndhurst

Epic Sunday lunch which we polished off happily. Great portion, great taste. Everything was seasoned well and will eagerly be waiting for my next visit. We both had pork this time as they had run out of the beef, but very delicious for a spur if the moment drive by.

It was right nice!

Really good for kids. Big outdoor area which was good for the kids to run inThe food was good and reasonably priced, the drinks are a bit pricey but that seems to be standard these days in most pubs.

The staff were very nice and helpful.

Booked for a table of 11 with food pre-ordered. Had a wonderful evening, great portion size, lovely roast and a nice cuppa to finish. We were well looked after by Shirley and the team. Drinks and food were great and a nice relaxing atmosphere. All in all a great family meal.

A must try for visitors to the area.
We had the ribeye steak today which was great except for being over seasoned with salt for me. I pointed this out to Shirley who took my comment on board. Nice also to have choice of chips. We went for sweet potato. Yummy. The beers are always good here. Will be back soon.

We were a group of 36 and very well looked after from the initial booking, on arrival on the day and through to our departure. Shirley and her staff worked tirelessly to make sure everything ran smoothly. The food was very good and the ambience was excellent. The pub is in a lovely setting with a large car park and easy access for the less-abled with plenty of seating both inside and outside.

This quiet little village pub is fantastic. It serves a wide range of food for adults and children and even has a menu for dogs. The staff are friendly and the parking ample. We like to make an detour to visit if we are heading over to that part of the country. It’s well worth a visit.

Lovely pub in the heart of the new forest. Massive garden, helpful staff, lovely food and good range of drinks. Atmosphere is nice. Definitely recommend visiting. Chris on the bar knows his stuff and helped us out

What a welcome! We visited with our two dogs yesterday and all received the warmest welcome. Staff went above and beyond. Food was lovely, with a good set meal deal and our 'girls' were included. As we're moving to the area, we'll be back on a regular basis 😊 Thank you for spoiling us!

Driven past many times. Today we stopped and so glad we did. Food was absolutely beautiful, well cooked, very well presented and very good portion sizes: staff were attentive and service was excellent: really can’t fault it. Immaculately clean . Will definitely be returning.

Driven past The Swan many times but pleased we stopped on Saturday, so much so, we went back Sunday.
Good choice of food and nice to see bread and butter offered with the fish and chips! Service was very good. Lovely pub inside and great garden.
Extremely dog friendly with treats, water and poo bags available for your fur family member.
Inside and out very clean and well maintained.
Would highly recommend for a meal, lunch or just popping in for a drink following a day out or as part of your day out.
We ordered from the menu rather than the app as it offered slightly more choice as well as flexibility to order more drink/food if needed.

Shirley, the landlady is an excellent host. She and her staff create a warm welcome to humans and dogs. Would highly recommend eating here. We'll definitely be regulars.

A friendly place to be that serves my favourite drinks. The food is good and we enjoy the events they put one. The whole team go out of their way to please. Ben is new to the team and is very cheerful and helpful

Brilliantly located on the way into / out of Lyndhurst with an easy to access and large parking area. Too cold to explore fully outside but from the warmth of the bar the garden looks amazing and a brilliant place to bring the kids in the summer.

The prices of drink are a tad steep but some still relatively cheap considering the area and what other places charge.

Real ale is served and is brilliant quality.. in the middle of winter the pint is a perfect pour at the perfect temperature.

Staff have been incredibly friendly and polite and seem eager to help. Even in quiet winter, you're acknowledged coming in and they seem very attentive. You'll instantly be greeted with the bar to your right and an awesome open log fireplace to your left with a comfy spacious seating area. Leading in is a large dining area with plenty of larger tables, yet not packed too close to each other so I would feel very comfortable with a large group in a busy period. There is some 'easy listening' music playing although it's certainly not intruding or overly loud.

I've not yet eaten here but the smell of the food will certainly make me (the menu looks fantastic with a good number of options for the typical range of dining tastes) and I'll update the review.

So far nothing bad to say about the place and has become a firm favourite to grab a quick pint on the way home from work and looking forward to seeing the place in the summer.

The food, is always tasty, some other reviews have mentioned an issue with a broken fryer but they advised us of the issue when we arrived and there was nothing wrong in that. The staff were all helpful and accommodating, and the food arrives in good time without you feeling like you have to eat and run, they give you time and space to enjoy your meal without neglecting you.

I love the fact that dogs are welcome and brought in as part of the family even with their own 3 course dinner available.

Can't fault it. It's good hearty pub grub for a fair price.

I cannot express how amazing was our experience with staying at The Swan. Sibyl and her Partner are wonderful human being. Short story long, My partner and I were cycling around area where we got lost just before midnight and ended up knocking the door of this heaven's door. we were welcomed unbelievably by Sibyl and her Partner to stay there for the night as well warm tasty food, bed and warm shower and an amazing breakfast. Sibyl made us feel like being at home and we cannot thank them more. She kindly explained about all the places around the area and how to continue our journey.
We would recommend to anyone around the area to visit this wonderful place to enjoy the delicious food as well as the place itself.
The Swan honestly is different than any other pubs I have been and you should see it yourself to believe me.
We Loved every second of our stay there and will be back there for sure.

Shirley was absolutely amazing, taking care of us the entire time. The atmosphere at the Swan was fantastic, with a great layout and excellent food.

Beautiful pub in the new forest! We had the fish and chips and it was the best I've had away from the seaside!!! Good selection of beers and the staff were really friendly!

I treated my family to a roast Sunday lunch 24th March. and was really delighted that we all said it was the best roast lunch for miles. The manageress Shirley and the bar staff were so friendly. It will be top of our list in future.
