Revels Fishery & Tackle Shop

Great fishery. Been coming here for quite a few years now. Prices are very reasonable, very nice part of the country and some great fish. On-site tackle shop is well stocked. Phone signals not great but that’s not the fisheries fault.

Spent a great afternoon with the children fishing here.
Staff very helpful and knowledgeable.
Shop very well stocked.
Lakes well kept and challenging.

Campsites, was lovely with views, could pitch where you liked with ehu. Reasonably priced with good location. Fishing lakes were beautiful and our grandson enjoyed the fishing

Clean, friendly, fishing lakes with camping site. Equal distance between Dorchester and Sherborne. If you want basic facilities, peace and quiet this is the place. Lovely helpful man runs the place. Helped us when we were in a fix.

Just started up course fishing again and went to Revels for the first time. Great place with good choice of lakes for all levels of fisherman/fisherwomen/fisherkids etc . Fully stocked tackle shop and very friendly helpfull owners/ staff. Although I think the lake I fished in had no fish as the only bite I had was that of my sandwich and the only thing I caught was a suntan 🤪☀😁😁 and I was there for 7hrs, but that’s fishing for you. Definitely recommend going 🎣🎣👍 (yes I did put bait on my hook) 😂

Great place to camp and fish with my kids very pleasant and friendly staff, very clean facilities, as a very seasoned camper of many years this was a luxury here just to have hot water, the tackle shop is very well stocked even with some essentials for camping.

Wow alot of the bigger sites could take a leaf out of this owners book. Nothing to much trouble, always there for a chat, quite site beautiful lakes ( I dont fish) to walk around. Very well maintained and showers cleaned twice a day. Can park where you like with in reason. Definitely visit here again ice cream van £2.00 for the biggest mr whippy I ever seen. Well done staff.

First time visiting this lovely complex, and what a complex it is. It was daunting deciding which lake to fish but some baby geese made my mind up. The tackle shop felt a little cramped but only because they have so much stock at amazing prices. Finally the staff were so welcoming and friendly its like we had known each other for years not just meeting. Im going back next week!

I love this place so much I almost feel like giving it a bad review to keep other people away 😉. My wife Dawn and i have had several fantastic trips to Revels. We had a whole week here earlier this summer. And have recently come home from a long weekend over the weekend. Another lovely trip, the campsite is one of the most relaxing ones we've ever stayed on. The fishing is fantastic! All the lakes are well stocked. There is something there for anglers of all abilities. Jason and everyone on site are all really friendly and helpful. I'm still sulking about having to come home and can't wait to return. Oh and the camping and fishing are absolutely brilliant value. Thank you so much Revels! See you again very soon.

Fabulous place. Beautiful lakes with well cared for fish. My son comes here a lot and fishes and he loves it tool. Great service in the shop.

We stayed for 5 nights in a tent, family of 3.

A really lovely campsite for everyone. The views around around the campsite are lovely. The owners are really nice. My husband and daughter like fishing and they were very happy here. Tackle Shop is well stocked stocked everything you need... even the loan of fishing gear.

Loved bird watching and the nights we heard the owls hooting was a treat!

We have camped in lots of different places over the years from super basic to campsites with arcades/nightlife and this place has everything you need for a nice camping break. Showers were good and toilets were clean. Facilities available for washing up. No laundry in case you were wondering but we never do our washing when away!!

35 minute drive to weymouth, 45 minute drive to durdle door and lots of nice pubs along the way. Monkey world was 30 mins away and Dorchester town around 15 mins away.

We visited weymouth and had a lovely meal (which we booked in advance) at Rockfish which was very very VERY nice!

We would definetly stay at the campsite again especially as there is so much to do in Dorset!

Revel’s Fishery, Where do I start?

Absolutely Fantastic Camp site with lots of space to pitch up, at a very low cost. The facilities were clean and fresh. Very friendly staff at the tackle shop. Great fishing for beginners and experienced anglers, as lakes were stocked high with lots of fish and especially carp. Revels is located about half way between Yeovil and Dorchester giving loads of options activities. The closest supermarket to Revels would be Aldi which is only 20 mins down the road towards Dorchester. Hands down one of the best camping experiences I’ve had and will definitely be booking here again.

Great place for fishing for small carp…. Campsite is very basic. The tackle shop is well stocked. Very helpful staff.

Been coming here for 20 years .Best holiday fishing people staff,entertainment with Dean. He can tell a story.,Eddie great bloke to chat with ,genuinely good all round people. Love the place,

This place is brilliant. Many of the pegs are tucked away so you feel like you have the entire place to yourself. The trees make accuracy essential if casting but suit careful pole fishing. The upside is plenty of shade on hot days.

The tackle shop has fresh maggots and a wide variety of tinned spam in flavours plus packet dry and moist baits to suit all tastes. They also sell every piece of hardware you could ever need from pole rigs to wheel barrows.

The perch here are greedy little devils, take a good quality disgorger. The carp are wiley. I usually ledger one rod and pole fish while I wait. I've had my share of blanks but they are outnumbered 5 to 1 by the days when I've caught things.

The staff are friendly and helpful and our family became friends with them over the years. I've spent hundreds of happy hours here. I hope you do too.
