This place is a great little gem, especially if you have kids. We stayed in a lodge, which was spacious, clean and had everything you would need. There is a great open area, fishing lake and a play park. We also went on a little stroll around the area, which was beautiful. The children we so happy to see chickens, rabbits and the goats, and we took a stroll to see them every day :) there is also a play park and bar. Very accessible and disability friendly which is another huge plus!

The only negative is that we didn’t stay longer! But we will 100% be back again in the very near future :)

Highly recommend, 10/10 🤩

Really lovely holiday home accomodation.. if you want space and self catering .. we had Acacia which gave us a large lounge..two bedrooms 2 bathrooms..and big kitchen and a study! All good quality and spotlessly clean. Fresh eggs in the morning and lots of space for children. Location is in the wilds a bit, about 25 minutes east of Bude. A great find! Recommended, and far better than a hotel room was the same price!

Fantastic family campsite. Everything you need for a great get away. Facilities are well looked after and the fishing lake is full of fish (impossible not to catch). Lovely waking up to chickens and rabbits. Owners are really friendly too. Such a peaceful place and will be back for sure.

Nestled in the picturesque countryside of Devon, Thornbury Holiday Park is a hidden gem that offers a truly enchanting retreat. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the serene surroundings and the warm hospitality that awaited me.

The holiday bungalows at Thornbury Holiday Park are the epitome of comfort and convenience. Equipped with everything one could possibly need, the fully equipped kitchen and the impressive 50-inch smart TV were just the beginning. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, which immediately put my mind at ease, ensuring a worry-free and enjoyable stay.

One of the standout features of Thornbury Holiday Park was the onsite bar, a perfect spot to unwind and socialize with other guests. Whether you're savoring a refreshing drink after a day of exploration or simply relishing the tranquil atmosphere, the bar is a welcoming space for all.

For fishing enthusiasts, Thornbury Holiday Park is a dream come true. With two large stocked fishing ponds, anglers can spend their days immersed in nature, waiting for that perfect catch. Even if fishing isn't your passion, the ponds add to the park's charm, creating a picturesque scene that adds to the overall experience.

What truly sets Thornbury Holiday Park apart is its resemblance to a thriving nature reserve. The presence of rabbits, geese, chickens, and wandering Billy goats added an endearing touch to the surroundings. As I strolled through the grounds, I felt a strong connection to nature, making the entire stay even more special.

One minor aspect to note is the absence of internet in the bungalow. However, the hotspot available at the reception allowed me to stay connected when needed. Moreover, my mobile internet worked well, ensuring I could stay connected with loved ones or quickly browse for local attractions.

In conclusion, Thornbury Holiday Park is a delightful escape that has something for everyone. Its location in the heart of Devon's countryside offers a calming respite from the hustle and bustle of city life. With well-equipped bungalows, the onsite bar, and the picturesque fishing ponds, the park manages to combine relaxation and recreation seamlessly. The abundance of wildlife on the grounds enhances the overall charm, making this small holiday park feel like a private nature sanctuary.

If you seek an idyllic retreat in Devon's beautiful countryside, look no further than Thornbury Holiday Park. Whether you're a nature lover, a fishing enthusiast, or simply seeking a peaceful getaway, this park has everything you need to create lasting memories. I wholeheartedly recommend Thornbury Holiday Park, and I am already looking forward to my next visit.

Having just moved to the village (and knowing the local pub had closed a while ago), it was great to hear we had somewhere close to go for a drink and food. What a great place! Lovely bar area, exceptionally friendly hosts......can't wait to explore the grounds in the summer. Haven't stayed there but the accommodation looks terrific. They made a point of introducing us to other people in the village (which was so helpful as newcomers). It's lovely to see a young couple like them running somewhere which they've made into the hub of the village. Friends we had staying with us and took for drinks commented on what a genuinely nice couple they were, and how they went out of their way to be the perfect hosts. It's not always easy moving to a small village, but everyone seems lovely and Paul and Lisa have created a terrific place in which to be sociable with new aquaintances. Thanks guys.

Lovely small, friendly campsite. Toilet/shower blocks kept very clean. Bar in the evenings from 6pm. Beautiful grounds including two lakes where you can fish 🎣 . There are chickens 🐓 (you can buy fresh eggs), pigs 🐽, geese. They have visiting fast food vans on a Friday, we had delicious paella 🥘 when we were there. Great beaches nearby Summerleaze is 11 miles away.

Cracking spot to spend a night in our motorhome. A very warm welcome extended by the owners, beautiful location too. To top it off we were there for the pop up pizza night and enjoyed it in the onsite bar. Spotless facilities, what more could we ask for. A1.👍🇬🇧

Just returned from a 3 night stay at Thornbury Park.
What lovely place it is. We stayed in the Willow chalet. It was very clean, comfortable, warm and spacious. The grounds were lovely and we overlooked the lake. We didn’t use the facilities (bar etc) but they were open.
We’ll definitely be going back 😊

A quiet, friendly and beautiful holiday park. With only 5 cottage lodges it is peaceful. close enough to anything you want in Devon and only an hour from the beaches further afield in Cornwall. Paul and Lisa who own and run the site are the most welcoming and helpful people you will meet. Paul is the Mr fixit too and sorts any small problems straight away. The bar is small and friendly and isn't overpriced like some places I've seen, and attracts the locals in for drinks too.

I would definitely recommend that you stay here.

This is the friendliest bar around - Lisa and Paul have created a real focus for this rural community, and welcome everyone with a smile and a story. Everyone who stays there seems to feel very much at home at once, and the warm vibe is great to see. Add to that the wood-fired oven baked pizzas freshly cooked and served every Thursday during the summer months, and themed food and live music nights, this really is a place to relax with friends.

A lovely week in an extremely delightful chalet. Paul and Lisa make you very welcome. A nice bar to relax in the evening, a small shop for essentials. The park is well placed to travel north Cornwall and Devon. Hidden in the country its lovely and quite. A must place to visit.

Brilliant family run farm and holiday park. Facilities are basic, but clean and there is everything you need. Staff are really helpful. Our kids loved the chickens, turkey and rabbits running around everywhere.

Clean, peaceful, picturesque and generally lovely and that was just the hostess.
Jokes aside, massively deserving of more than 5 stars.
