Fabulous experience running the Welsh 3000s. Really well organised, route was stunning and aid stations were second to none. Great company and made all parts of the day enjoyable :)

Dean was a wonderful guide, really friendly and knowledgable about the local area. The weekend was a great introduction to sky running and the routes were a bit off the beaten track so we avoided a lot of the crowds despite the beautiful weather. Excellent food, good company and breathtaking mountain views with some nice technical segments that were tailored to the ability of the group - a perfect weekend!

I participated in the 1 day Welsh 3000s event in May. This was an amazing full day out supported by Adventure Awaits. Thankfully we had warm dry weather which made the views fantastic and conditions very favourable. The 2 aid stops had superb refreshments and food. I found this an incredibly hard challenge, not the distance so much, but the elevation up and down was a killer on the quads. I was particularly nervous about Crib Goch but was put up front with Dean and carefully looked after all the way across. David led our smaller group for the remainder of the day and was very encouraging along the way. Overall I would definitely recommend this trip out with Adventure Awaits

We had a fantastic weekend with Dean alongside Dan Summers, with a great choice of routes, high-quality cooking and personable guidance making it an excellent experience once again. Our group of mixed ability trail runners was well accommodated, with everyone being able to do as much as they felt comfortable with while enjoying the beautiful scenery and experiencing adventure!

Dean guided and catered for a recent running club weekend. It was the best weekend and Dean excels at being a great host, fun and knowledgeable guide and amazing chef. A weekend of proper relaxation and getting out on the hills. Would thoroughly recommend his services.

Excellent day with Dean from Adventure Awaits. Really enjoyable and organised to a tee. Loads of freshly cooked foods for all tastes and drinks to keep us topped up in the heat ☀😎. Highly recommend for training or prep for a race or just to have a great day out at a controlled pace and great guide and good company 👍

Such an awesome weekend of running. Well organised and thought out from start to finish.
Being able to run/scramble on lesser known routes through Snowdonia was amazing. Only made possible by Dean's skills and knowledge of the area.
I can see myself doing this again and would definitely recommend to others.

I had an incredible time at the trail running weekend in the Brecon Beacons organized by Dean for our running club. The event was exceptionally well-coordinated, featuring superbly cooked meals that fueled us for the adventures ahead. The running routes were breathtaking, offering both challenge and beauty. The added yoga session was a delightful touch, aiding our recovery and relaxation. Overall, it was a fun and professionally executed weekend, blending fitness, nature, and camaraderie seamlessly. Highly recommended!

Great day out in the hills with Adventure Awaits. Super friendly team, incredible spread of food (lots of vegan options) and no end of laughter and good bants on the W3000s. I honestly couldn’t have made it around the route without them.

Recently did the Welsh 3000s with Dean and his team. Excellent organisation and the best food stations I’ve used. Highly recommended.

There is literally not enough I could say to demonstrate how wonderful this Experience was. Despite Covid, Dean, did his best to make sure the event was both Covid secure and enjoyable and safe for all. Dean is quite simply the best event organiser we’ve ever met, putting everything into making our weekend Skyrunning in North Wales go perfectly. From his amazing crew, to his cordon bleu cooking skills, serving homemade curry, amazing lunches (no petrol station sandwiches here) to whipping up cakes (and I hasten to add the most spectacular carrot cake) - and literally icing them when we returned from the mountains. But his passion for the great our doors pours from him in abundance and you literally can not do anything to stop yourself from being drawn into his world. The breathtaking views. The amazing climbs. The perfect trails. The Wild Ponies. And the cheesy jokes. It all goes toward making a once in a life time experience, that my friends and I want to experience again and again. We’ll definitely be back, with friends and family! Thanks Dean and crew!!

I spend a wonderful weekend at Boulders Adventures with Westbury Harriers, running around the local hills and mountains. The accommodation was perfect- comfy beds, lots of hot showers and great social areas and also a welcomed yoga session. Dean and Dan were the perfect hosts. Dean cooked a delicious evening meal, hearty breakfasts and there was a great selection of delights for our picnic lunches. They were very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and had lots of tales to tell to take your mind off your aching muscles! They made everyone feel included, making me feel encouraged and supported throughout. I can't wait for the next one :-)

We had a mixed ability group of 8 people who wanted to walk the Welsh 3000s in 24 hours. Dean made sure we were set up for success, and the entire group completed the challenge before the cut-off.

On top of great organisation and wayfinding, Dean is also brilliant at the psychological side of mountain leadership. He moved through the group keeping spirits high and everyone moving together. He's also really knowledgeable about the area and has a clear love for what he does. I would not hesitate to go on an adventure with Dean again.

Dean provided a fantastic weekends introduction to Sky Running and scrambling in north Wales. The whole event was very well planned, even thou circumstances around COVID prevented the use of a bunkhouse for the accommodation. Deans organisation was second to none, providing a wholesome breakfast and tasty packed lunches every day. Dean is an excellent mountain guide, competent and extremely knowledgeable of the local area. He planned amazing mountain routes to run on both days including high peaks and negotiating excellent scrambles, finishing off with a nice cold dip into the river.

Amazing day - as total novices Dean patiently and competently introduced us and our two boys to scrambling. We now have the confidence to take them out and try some scrambling adventures, with the basic rope skills making a huge difference - one day has opened up so much for us.
In addition Dean was hugely informative about mountain safety, relevant kit, even regional flora!
We all had a great day, learned so much and gained confidence and insight.
Cannot recommend highly enough, and given his own personal competence and experience I’m sure he would add great value to anyone wanting to get into the mountains and learn more, from novice to experienced mountaineer/climber/runner etc.
