Last Century Books

Quite probably the best second hand book shop in Scotland and, ive been in most. Excellent selection and well organised into categories for ease of browsing. Prices are amongst the best you will find and owner is very helpful if you are after a particular book.

Surprisingly cavernous space so I took some time to get my bearings. Mostly interested in the fiction, but has a strong military history section. Books generally in good condition, and sensibly priced. Owner was pleasant and helpful.

Little piece of heaven. The way bookshops used to be you hunt for the hidden gems. Got 3 practically brand new books in a series I had been missing for 6 quid. Will definately be back through from Glasgow. .even just to visit the bookshop and get ice cream 😁

Arrived in Innerleithen on the kind of wet day when it's pointless doing many of the tourist attractions. So was pleased to discover this excellent little bookshop with helpful staff. I spent a happy interlude and came away with several books I haven't been able to find anywhere else, including one I last read in 1979! Keep up the good work!

I ordered a book through Amazon from Last Century Books and i am extremely pleased with my purchase. The book was very rare and considering this rarity it was well priced and exactly how it was described. A real treasure trove. My dad always makes a beeline for this place when he's in town. Lots of fiction and nonfiction, something for everyone.

I love going to this Aladdin's cave of secondhand books! Came out with reading for the next lockdown and s beautiful painting by Bill Robb. Don't miss it when you pass through Innerleithen.

Splendid! Every town should have a dusty old bookshop. A great selection and even better prices. It figures that it's not on Peebles High Street.

I felt like I was stepping in to another world upon entry to this shop. Wish I had more time to peruse every isle. Great service and a selection unlike any other, hope I can return soon!

An excellent shop. Stopped in here a couple summers ago and found a fine old edition of Boswell's "Life of Johnson."

A bit like a tardis for books. Easily found several books of interest and has a lovely children's section.

Just my sort of bookstore! Stacks of novels, all genres. Shelves so full the building doesn't feel like it can hold it all. 3 books for a £!
