The Globe Inn

I came here with a group of 19 people in July 24. The pub is lovely and is the heart of the village. The staff were courteous, approachable and very friendly. The food was incredible also. It was a great experience and when we pop back we will make sure we book here again. Thanks to the Globe for making our holiday that extra bit special

Enjoyed our visit here today…well laid out public house in the centre of Milverton close to the church. Spotless inside with plenty of seating. Helpful staff and friendly service. Clean toilets - limited parking by the pub and to be honest limited parking spaces throughout the entire village! Full disability access throughout.

A peaceful, quirky village in what seems to be the middle of nowhere. Stunning food which would easily boast as restaurant style, rather than pub. The best belly pork I have tried. Ever. Stunning handmade desserts. Friendly staff. Could not fault our visit to this pub. Definitely a hidden gem!

We came to this cozy pub as we're were staying locally. We were greeted warmly and promptly when we entered. The landlady was so friendly and could not have been more helpful. We ordered some wine, Belly pork and creme brulee. The food was completely stunning and was delivered to our table very quickly considering all the food is homemade. The best Belly pork we have ever had, cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend a visit to this hidden gem.

Visiting the area and host recommended The Globe. Table booked by phone, arrived to a very friendly welcome. The menu had many choices to suit all tastes. The roast pork and slow cooked belly pork was thoroughly enjoyed by our party and lovely homemade puddings followed. Absolutely delicious and served by very friendly and attentive staff. Would highly recommend.

Fabulous meal while we were staying in Milverton. They were only too happy to meet all our various dietary needs. Well recommended, especially the Sunday roast and their special belly pork meal.

Being the only pub restaurant in the village you'd come to expect relatively average food or service (as would be easy to be mediocre with little to no competition). But The Globe Inn was absolutely amazing, not only with its better than fine dining food selection, but their staff are friendly and outgoing which just made the eating out experience an all round success.
We had 2 children under three with us, but that wasn't a problem, everyone went out of their way to ensure our children were happy.
I would travel back to Milverton just for the food served here.

A very scrumptious roast dinner was served to us for Sunday lunch. A warm apple crumble is served with vanilla ice cream. Absolutely delicious!!!
I would like to say a big thank you to a chef- the invisible hero of our Sunday.

The staff is young, adorable , lovely, attentive and very polite , courteous.
Atmosphere was pleasant. We felt very comfortable. A realy warm welcome we had from the father of the owner. What a charming, friendly gentleman he is!
We will be back.

Lovely dinner, classic pub fayre, good quality food and good portion sizes at a sensible price. Had somehow lost our booking but fitted us in regardless, and nothing was too much trouble. Nice relaxing atmosphere.

This pub a little gem in a small village on the outskirts of Taunton. Cosy atmosphere with a great selection of local ales and cider as well as the popular lagers. The food is of particular mention due to the excellent use of local ingredients and family recipes such as "Mother-in-law's Meringue with Raspberry Coulis". Mark and Adele have created a menu with some locally sourced meat and veg. Many options too for vegetarian and vegan diets. The staff are friendly, attentive and made us feel very welcome considering we were a large family group of 13 with children of all ages. Highly recommend you pay a visit if you happen to be in the area.

We had the pleasure of 2 fantastic meals at The Globe during a weekend away for our friends 40th... a Friday night with one two many drinks and a slightly fragile Sunday Lunch. Adele and her team could not have done more for us. The food was delicious 😋 and even being a large table of 14 ladies everything was faultless. Many of us work or have worked in luxury travel and the service we recieved could rival many a 5 star hotel...warm, welcoming, professional, friendly...Adele went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time and that we did. We cannot thank you enough for being such a big part of making our weekend fabulous ❤ if you are in the area make sure you try a meal at The Globe, you will not be disappointed

Went for lunch today (Sunday) 15 of us. Food was excellent as was service.

We enjoyed a surprisingly good Chinese special night with a lovely menu and the delicious beer from the Otter Brewery!

Very friendly staff, decent prices and all in all a good place to recommend though it may get quite warm in there when it is full an the kitchen is working hard.

Great pub to live close to. Went the night we moved into the village and have enjoyed the good food and friendly atmosphere regularly for the last two years. Great local beers. Mother in laws meringue is wonderful.

Visiting the Globe Inn is like revisiting family after being away a while. Same atmosphere of welcome, staff simply wonderful, food is a symphony of mind blowing flavours that accompany you home with your smile and forever memories.

Many past visits with family and different friends to this alternate heaven set in Somerset’s flowing countryside, is a timepiece of my life events.

On Saturday 12th June I had the Gloucester Old Spot slow cooked belly of pork, their signature dish, and so it should be. Every mouthful is a journey into bliss, as it always has been. Julie had the Sea Bass on Potato Rosti which she absolutely adored, and Shane had the Globe Burger with a side of coleslaw which he thoroughly enjoyed, too.
A family get together at a family pub, with what can only be described as good old fashioned home made delicious food presented with a twist of magic. Thank you Adele, Mark and you’re excellent crew xx
